Re: E&D's worst behaved club
As I had said earlier - if you read it properly goal - I never said the club I am at was perfect and implied quite the opposite in fact. I also stated that I have had some very good experiences as well. My kids haven't ever tried out for this club nor have I wanted to be a coach there and I also mentioned thatthe team I have been involved with have an unblemished disciplinary record. All the incidences I referred to were not made up either so if you are going to come on and have a go get your argument straight first mate.goal!!! wrote:back pedal harder.. despite your attacks im sure your club has had infridgements too. id like to know which club your from. did you or your son/daughter try out for a TTG team and get knocked back ? or did you try for coaching and get knocked back.
Listen, i have had some clashes before with a few ttg coaches , some of which were not good experiences ( mainly due to them getting wiped on the park ) but despite that, i also have many TTG coaches that are very nice and have been friends with a fair few so .. i think as gullyboy said you either chat to the committee with an email, phone or BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT , you have attacked TTG without facts...
i bet your are from a smaller club and get hammered by TTG correct ? id like to know what club your from or who you are talking about coz its very frustrating
I have made my point and again will be happy to draw a line underneath it and we'll obviously have to agree to disagree.

Re: E&D's worst behaved club
E&D Clubs do not have trials do they ? Isn't it an inclusive competition for all comers.
Re: E&D's worst behaved club
redback - you didnt say where you are from ? you made a statement now back it up and declare it or stop posting .
in reference to before i wasnt talking to you , it was the other comment by the previous message ?
anyway you obviously have no creditbility as you wont delcare and back up what club your from or issues so it can be sorted out , im sure ttg would be "keen as" to deal with problems.

Hey Lefty, eyes failing you again son? Look a bit closer at that trophy. We've held it as many times as TTG and yourselves for that matter!
As for Gully Boy, I believe Old Redback followed the correct E&D process but as usual most complaints, observations and discussions put forward to E&D get a 'no response'.
And aside from that when one incident occurred between the clubs, at least one of your committee members was in attendance at the game because they mentioned the incident to me in conversation.
Anyway Lefty why are we the second worst? Is that just I.Y.O.?

Yes goal no point in going any further because I have seen - as Cobweb has noted - how "keen as" they were.
I'm over it - for now -I suggest you do the same - and don't believe it is relevant where I or anyone else who may have a grievance comes from as it should be the grievance that is dealt with and not the location of where it comes from.

Yes you never stated who you were referring too.

To be honest with you I was going to check the trophy last night before I sent the post but I do remember TTG winning 3 times us twice I think I did see your name on there though I'll check again tonightCobweb wrote:Hey Lefty, eyes failing you again son? In all seriousness though considering the good relations most clubs have you'd hope that when situations arise most things could be sorted via the club Chairmans in the first instance and I am very confident things would be resolved. If not well you can go down the E&D justice system if you please. Im sure Gullyboyz would agree.
In fact your not the 2nd worst your the 2nd best

Re: E&D's worst behaved club
G'day Lefty,
Yes as many clubs do, we have always tried resolving issues that arise either internally or externally with those directly concerned, be it referee, coach, parent, spectator, child or another club. But you get to know those clubs and individuals that get their 'heckles' up at the first mention of a comment or concern. So with that in mind, we make a decision on the appropriate course of action. Nothing more.

Re: E&D's worst behaved club
Well I checked the E&D "Glass Decor Trophy" (not sure where this name comes from) for Oustanding Sportsmanship and the winners are as follows;
Brahma Lodge - 1977
Ingle Farm - 1978
Para Hills West - 1979 (I was playing there then)
Broadmeadows - 1980
Elizabeth Sth/Broadmeadows - 1981
Elizabeth West - 1982
Elizabeth Fields - 1983
Modbury Vista - 1984,1998 (2)
Parafield Gardens - 1985, 2008 (2)
(Missing Badge) - 1986
Munno Para - 1988, 1999
Salisbury City - 1989, 1991 (2)
Elizabeth Downs - 1990
Salisbury East - 1992
Elizabeth Vale - 1993, 2002 (2)
Para Hills East - 1994, 1995, 2000 (3)
Smithfield Plains - 1997
(No Winner Awarded) - 1996, 2003, 2005
St Augustines - 2001
Barossa United - 2004
Tea Tree Gully - 2006
Angle Vale - 2007
So I stand corrected Gully only won it once Easties have won it 3 times and they are also the only club to win it back to back although Broadmeadows may have but not sure with the following year if it was an amalgamated club or joint winners. Four clubs have won it twice and obviously there are clubs that have never won it. Not sure who won it in 1986 as the badge is missing.

Joint winners - I am pretty sure they never amalgamated - Is the South still going? I dont think they are - sad that Broadmeadows is no longer with us.
and there are a few other clubs on that list that are no longer, if Im not mistaken?

I can safely say that due to one of my Colts players we have no chance of having the trophy in our new clubrooms at PHE this year.

Re: E&D's worst behaved club
Lefty,
1986 I believe was Gawler
Was 1987 missing as well or did you just omit to mention it was the DOWNS?
And how about reciprocating with a wave next time you cross Franklin St?
