San Marco have got to be the biggest bunch of non positive human beings to ever grace a football pitch! All day in both games they moaned. As for the first team game the tackles and niggles behind play were shocking, captain was one of the worst offenders. Makes the club look terrible, as well as there results!

Not only does it take your focus of the task you have been entrusted to do but also it is poor sportsmanship.
Alan doesn't wan to run the line and coach, he would love to solely coach.
Same thing happens at so many other clubs, people disappear at the start of games so that they won't be asked to do the job.
Good to meet you, fair assessment and if calling out a few things like mark up whilst running the line is the worst thing that happened looks like it was a pretty good day

Knights v Beach, or Beach v Knights as it was
B's 5-1
4-0 down after 25 minutes got some pride back, but Beach just too good
A's 3-2
Very tight first half, Beach scored from a corner that just wasn't well defended. Knights were unlucky not to have at least one by halftime with Beach clearing one off the line and Knights guilty of one of the misses of the season directly in front, two yards out, oen goal, hit the guys knee just not our day. Second half, Knights conceded early and looked flat, a third goal looked to have finished the game off, although Knights finished strongly with two late goals also Beach keeper had a great save from a header
Referee was very good, result was fair and Heinekens were only $4
Good luck to Beach
P.S. Hope the mentally challenged boy gets a kick next week

Re: Sunday League Results - 16/08/09
Tough hit out for the boys yesterday. Pontians were up to the challenge and walked away with the three points. The weather didnt help much with the wind picking the ball up and taking it where ever it wanted. Would have been the same every where else though so no excuse. Pontians took the lead with a diflected shot midway thru the first half, with both teams not having many shots in the first stanza. I would say that was the only real shot Pontains had in the first half with Mark Kelly for the Downs winning a nice header in the box only to headed straight at the Keeper for the Downs only real threat in the first half. Apart from that there were a few shots from both sides that never really threatened either keeper.Karmann Ghia wrote:What still no news about the Downs game??? What happen? Is the season now over?
Second half saw the game open up a bit more with Pontians putting the Downs on the back foot early. Once again though no real clear cut chances. Then about the 75th min mark Pontian took a two nil lead with a close range shot to Benny A near post. Just prior to that though i must make note that Benny A made ANOTHER couple world class saves to keep the Downs in the Game. With 15 left to play the Downs finally put some forward moves together that nearly got them a sausage back with Chris Orange hitting the crossbar and a Tom Radford free kick that hit a few legs on its way to goal only to narrowly miss. Radford then scored a late consilation goal to make it 2v1.
Well done to Pontians, wanted it more on the Day and thanks for the food and hospitality afterwards...

Dont have a view on the game! That why I asked. Going by the report Pontinas played well and deserved their points. Downs keeper made saves which would suggest they were under a little pressure. Suprised that they got up. No one picked them to win. Can they survive the drop? Have Florina already won the title? I think that both the title race and the relegation battle will be decided before the last day of the season.

The fat lady may have started to sing but this fat man has'nt If Downs hump Lion 12-0 and Farm show what their made of then the title chase is well and truely back on. Florina dont seem to be in great form at the moment and the race aint over till you cross that line. Farm seem to be grinding out results and from experience thats what it takes. Good luck to all. Florina not in great form? Sitting top 6 points a drift of nearest rival, i would say bl-o-ody good form. Downs beat Lion 12-0?
couldn't score in a b-r-o-th-el, with $1000 bills Farm showing their credentials? time will tell. But Florina sitting top, and u chasing! oh did i forget to mention u lost to Pontian on the weekend and u think u can beat Lion who romped Parafield 4-0, and Farm beating a Westies team that has no confidence at the moment. I'll let you in on a little secret Marooned, THIS Sunday or the next, the title is coming to Underdown Park, even if i have to steal it Should have been over this sunday, but let the rest in with a sniff. Don't think for one second we will let it go. Me thinks Farm more worried about playing us than us worried about playin them. As a matter of fact, not worried at all. So to all that want to create doubt, there you have it. Oh by the way, when we play you last round, we will be wearing our champion T shirts. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!
