SUNDAY PREMIER LEAGUE - RD 15 PREDICTIONS

Post by Robbo »

Very interesting fixtures this week lads..

Round 15 16/08/2009
SALS INTER vs ELIZ VALE - 6 Pointer game this one, draw helps neither.. Both teams 2 points clear of relegation zone, should be a real scrap. Inter coming home with a wet sail, beware Vale's young team starting to do the same. Interesting fixture.
USC LION vs PARAFIELD - USC Lion have some players back and looked more organized last round. Parafield Gardens have a difficult task this week travelling down to the beach. Could be an upset, but I will stick with the Gardens.
FULHAM vs SALS FLORINA - Talk about tough tasks, who wants to travel to Fulham at the moment ?? Florina win this one and they are just about home. Fulham's week off should help with injuries at this time of year so I am going for an upset..
PONTIAN vs ELIZ DOWNS - Pontians are 2 points deep in relegation trouble but have some good results of late. This is Pontians Grand Final and Downs will have to be up for it.. A loss to Downs may spell the beginning of the end.. No less than a win required for Downs .. or it gives Florina a big sniff..
PH WEST vs INGLE FARM - Always a tough encounter between the local rivals, playing for pride & bragging rights more than anything this week.. Farm haven't beaten PHW in the past few years, last time was on Penalties down at Westies ground in a cup game. Mr X - no better feeling than scoring against your old club, hope to see it this week.

Inter vs Vale Big game for both sides. Inter doing everythng it can to stay in Div 1 and just might do so. Vale needing a win to get away from the relegation zone. Inter at home for me, only just. Brooksy could have his hands full in this one.
Gardens vs Lion gardens with Gardensgoon to get one and haywooddjablowme to put a dent in someone's ego  Cannot go past a gardens win at home. Lion done and dusted.
West vs Farm Well robbo recons that westies and farm playing for bragging rights and Fulham to do Downs a favour according to diego who can't read :D
Well i think robbo thinks that Farmers still have a sniff at the title and hope Fulham beat Florina to keep them in the hunt. Although we might lose or draw or even win, Westies are going to beat the farm cause farm have given up all hope and if that is the case i suggest you hardn the fk up, as robbo says, and make sure ur cup form is in great shape as the semi's could be the end of the road for Farmers too. So sorry to say, Westies for me at home.
Pontians vs DownsPontians fighting for survival and Downs needing to win to stay in touch and still in the cup. I'm hoping for a Pontian win, but i think they can scrap a draw here. Bonus to us if they win. Cum on Pontian.
Fulham vs Florina Well a win here u could virtually say that we have our hand on it :D on what u say it could be on two different things if we win or lose. In saying that, everyone is making it sound like Fulham has a chance to do the league a favour. Could be right but i'll tell them this. Our boys will be fired up that much and will play like it is a grand final as win this game and title will be almost home. as for uncle cracker and who ever else gives me s-h-i-t for righting about winning leagues, and what not on the net, if were not good enough now, we will never be, no matter what i write. Time to drink a cup of cement and dig deep. I know i will as the won't be many more chances for me to win one. So Fulham be on your toes, cause a storm is coming. From me anyway

its all a bit to quiet on the forum lately! where are everyones predictions?

inter v vale- 2 big clubs with a lot of history, sadly for the loser they will be deep in trouble down the bottom. i think inter will just have a bit to much for the vale at home. only just though.
fulham v florina- fulham fresh of the break, in good form and at home should come out fireing but florina i think can grab a much needed point to keep the gap at the top. will be a good game this one.
pontian v downs- cant see any other result then a downs win. must win all games from here on in to have a shot at the league, and that should be enough motivation to get them over the line. pontian are all but gone i believe.
west v farm- west seem to have the wood on farm since the switch across from a couple of players. and i think this will continue.
lion v gardens- with lion fresh of the break and of there massive win against farm should come out full of confidence and believe that they can roll us, unfortunatly they are wrong :D we are looking for 4 in a row and are going back to grange for the 1st time since that glorious day last year. 3 pts can put us closer to the top 4 and this is what we are striving for in our last month before the semis. wont be easy though.

Inter v Vale
Two desperate teams – the loser falls deeper into the relegation mire and hoping for results elsewhere to help out. Should be tight, but Vale have more potent striking options.
Lion v Parafield
Nothing to play for here. Defences certainly no strong point for either side – Gardens have more individuals capable of turning match in a few minutes.
Fulham v Florina
Fulham would need to win every game and rely on other results to win league. A win for Florina would stamp their title claims, but dropped points would signal there is still drama to be played out (with an eye to last game v Downs). Florina should be too desperate.
Pontian v Downs
Two desperate sides for different reasons. Form line indicates that if Downs can put 5 past St Peters they should have too much ammo for Pontian.
West v Farm
Neither side can afford to drop a point. Should be tight and I think they will both be swapping sob stories over a beer afterwards as they kill off each others faint title hopes with a draw.

Having your hand on it thats an understatement

I wont get down to see the boys play & Redders get upset  I have to go and watch the oval ball game instead down the road :( no doubt Gardens will be up for it and continue the winning run home and finish where we should be GO U GARDENS.

INTER vs VALE - 6 pointer for both, Inter recruited well but i think Vales experience will get them a point or 3
DOWNS vs PONTIAN - Downs @ home too strong
WEST vs FARM - If any one is going to go on a challenge it will be decided in this game! Westies @ home might just give them the edge
FULHAM vs FLORINA - Not sure on this one. Fulham shown they can play & at home but Florina have an opportunity to take another big step in winning the league. Draw written all over it. Watch the head M Andrea
LION vs GARDENS - Lion coming off a good win but were starting to show some good form again of late. I know the boys are keen on finishing the season well, especially now with a Cup semi final on the horizon. Are run will continue this week down at grange. Your right goon should bring back some good memories :D

Good luck to all

Inter v Vale - 6 pointer for both can see an aggresive tight affair as the loser will become deep in relegation. cant tip against us with experience of dalakis and the brilliance of marchioro ( ) should keep the likes of brooksey and maher quite
Downs v Pontian - tight game must win for downs to keep hopes alive
Westies v Farm - neither playing as well as they should both needing the result which imo will lead to a draw
Fulham v Florina - florina can almost rap it up at fulham but given there form i think fulham will make florina fight till the end
USC v Gardens - usc seem to be on the improve gardens a good squad see it being a better game then first thought. tight game see a draw
