LION 3-2

Thanks to Ingle Farm yesterday for their hospitality.

Well we finally got our second win for the season   :D :D

We finally put two halves together and came away with a deserved win.

It is a nice reward for the boys who have stuck with it as the club fell apart. Hopefully we can continue this current lift in form and push all our opponents for the rest of the season and finish the year with something positive to take away from what has been a horrible year.

Got the week off this week so off to Marion Bay to do some much needed R+R :D :D :D
HOW CAN I BE SO THIRSTY THIS MORNING WHEN I DRANK SO MUCH LAST NIGHT ????

It's still tight at the bottom of Division 2.
With 10 points separating Vikings from 3rd place they are certain for promotion and would need to drop 7 points out of the remaining 12 for Beach to finish above them.....ain't gonna happen.
At the same time there is still a 3-4 team battle for the second promotion spot.

And there is a big fight looming at the foot of the Premier league with Vale, Inter and Pontian trying to avoid accompanying USC Lion to Division 2.
Realistically Downs are probably the only team that statistically could catch Florina for the title but they will need to brab 6 more points than Florina from the remaining 12.

In our game, Westies on top firsy half and saw them go ahead 1-0 half way thru the half with a well taken header. We came back into the game last 10 mins of first half but not many chances created by Florina compared to Westies. As for the 4th week in a row, we have gone behind, only to come out in the second half and blitz teams, and Westies was no different. Don't think they knew what hit them as we were on top all half and scoring early in the half to equalise was a good stepping stone. Unfittest team in the league some say, don't think so! Thanx to the westies boys for sticking around after the game and their coach for a chat. The westies boys looked down and out after the game as they let their chance slip by to stay in touch along with the other title contenders, or should i say as marooned says - PRETENDERS. Sorry, had to put that one in  Now to the cup this weekend and with 4 players coming back in, and me having a break, u better bring the beer Gardensgoon :D
westies supporters spent a small fortune on the day aswell and cleaned all bottles an cans up after great work cheers,
1 group in particular brought a shit load of grog from the bar or should i say a bloody big bag full of booze great supporters at westies

You know what I remember from this game? Your coach sending a player on to quote "break his fucking legs", that bloke got sent off after his first tackle on me..... Hardly need to dive with such astute tackling like that. But let's not let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Funny I would of played in this game and back in those days our coach would of come on feild and done the job him self.
Mr Knob, you do not need to play that way I am sure most in the amateurs would prefer to see the game played more like the English premier league than the serie A.
Hope you guys stay up so that we can meet again.
How hard was that tackle in the first half, you didn't go near me after that

Sorry Mate,
didn't have to keep up with him as he spent half the time rolling around on the floor :D
I wasn't aware he was the one who headed the ball in the back of the net.
You have made a valid point though, decent player who by the way was given 1 yellow card and then 4 warnings are you sure Yuri isn't of greek decent.

Personally not making fun of him, hate the way he plays - dives all the time, not the first time its been mentioned - obviously you as coach and your club condone it, I also notice on another post that you played suspended players - we won't pursue it as we lost on the day, but please don't ever lecture us about "fair play" again save it for the kids who might still believe you

As I said the better team won and won't pursue the fact that someone who played against you last week said there were suspended players - however if San Marco, East or MP want to thats up to them

And I respect that fact that no-one from Raptors including "the knob" himself have denied that fact that he is s "serial diver"

The club has to receive the letter from the league notifying them of the suspension period and when that period is to commence. Check the rules before Gullyboyz and yourself start making assumptions

Not my issue - however if that's your defense I would suggest you check the rules

An official SAASL PDF wrote:*R7 Receives a second caution in the same match

(c) A player who has been sent off under category R4, R5 and R7 must serve the
mandatory match suspension, except in the case of alleged mistaken identity, there
is no appeal from a mandatory match suspension.
* The imposition of a mandatory match suspension is immediate for completeness the
league will send a disciplinary notice of the mandatory match suspension with the
required time frame.
For the avoidable doubt the mandatory match suspension is effective regardless of
whether or not the notice was received.

R7 is the category for a red card received because two yellow cards have been given, the excerpt above relates to an R7 category ?

Correct, it's different for the accumulated yellow card suspension (4, 8 etc)

Adelaide Villa made their climb in both Sunday and Saturday in consecutive years. Were Sun div 1 champs in 2005 and are looking the goods for Sat div 1 champs this year.
