unfortunately the b's werent able to progress any further in the cup after their 2-0 loss to BOSA.
but the C2 side managed to put seven goals away for the second week in a row after their 7-1 trouncing of Beograd

but its back to business this weekend as the league season continues. The a's have a difficult task in travelling to Elizabeth to take on grove knowing that only a win will continue the good form shown in the previous game against league leaders WB

also, a special mention has to go to the Raptors committee for putting on a good Quiz night on Saturday night. They do a great job keeping the club running so well done boys

yeah he's played a few c games for us so far this year but not sure how many more he can commit to as he's shortly going overseas. He's brother Scott is also having a run with us.

Disappointing result for the a’s yesterday as we let slip a chance to make up ground on the other bottom teams

Went 1-0 up to a well placed finish inside 20 minutes. The rest of the first half was fairly even with both sides pushing the ball around. With about 44 minutes on the clock Elizabeth Grove find plenty of room down the right and put in a ball to 3 unmarked players at the back post, which one of them puts away with a header. Bad way to end the half. 1-1 HT

Second half starts like the first however that all changes when one of our defenders gets his second yellow for a foul in the box. Grove put away the penalty so were now down a goal as well as a player. From here on in it was always gonna be difficult to get anything out of the match, and with us pushing forward Grove get two more goals to complete a 4-1 win

Raptors 4-3 PHE

after last weeks bad performance away to grove, it was good to get back onto the winners list against PHE

was an end to end match with plenty of chances and goals to keep our home fans happy. after going 1-0 up PHE did well to come back from a goal down on two occasions, but it wasnt enough as we grabbed the winner with about 20 still to play

again it was a great game played in the right spirits. no bad tackling or BS and the referee allowed the game to flow well

good luck to PHE for the rest of the season

our B's unfortunately werent able to plug the gap at the top of the table, but still managed to grab a 3-3 draw

Heard about today's win boys, great to see you guys backing up against PHE last week. Hopefully this gives you a bit of a run on getting a few more points next to your name and survive the drop.

cheers medallion

was certainly a good win v Vista - we owed them one for the beating we copped earlier in the season, but more importantly we needed the 3 points to stay in touch with the other bottom teams

was great to finally get back-to-back wins for the first time this season aswell. an unchanged line up from the previous week (again, first for the season) helped also

Huge games for both the A's and B's at home this weekened vs Vikings

B's looking to join Vikings at the top of the ladder if they can get a win

A's looking to make it three wins in a row as we try to claw ourselves out of the bottom 2

Both games will be difficult and so should make for interesting viewing

terrible day out for a's/b's raptors against TTG

b's werent able to continue their run of good form and as a result lose their standing as equal 1st on the ladder. will be hoping to bounce back this week

the a's - one word, dreadful.
not taking anything away from TTG, they were deserving winners. played for eachother and fought for every ball. showed us how to go about playing a solid 90 minutes. weve now conceded 11 goals in 2 games against the gullies and that result leaves us with everything to do in the remaining games

tought trip away to the knights this week

What's happening down at Raptor land boys??? Sounds like we've lost a fair bit of defensive structure?? or are the boys just not putting in the hard yards at training and then in-turn on the park sundays???

This is upsetting to see each week, my old team getting pumped..

^^^^^^^

defensive errors have cost us too may goals this year medallion. its been our one big let down and when it happens (as it has all too often) it deflates the entire team

maybe our mentality and our ability to bounce back when it happens can come into question, who knows

training i think also plays a role. too often weve had players either training only once a week or not at all - amateurs or not, you need your first 11 training together twice a wek

but a huge game for us this week v Knights. theyre in good form and with a big ground, no doubt its gonna be very hard for us. but we always have good tussles with the knights boys and if we believe in ourselves and give everything we can im sure we can come away with something.

but it all comes down to the day

It's good to see you boys bounce back against a rampant knights team who have been knocking off some of the top teams in recent weeks. Hopefully this win gives you boys the belief needed to finish off the season and avoid the drop.

Your 2 biggest games are going to be against San Marco and Munno para. Win these 2 and your almost gauranteed to avoid relegation. All in all, it's good to see you boys in the winner's circle again and I hope to catch up with you boys in a few weeks time.

Take care JT

since youre registered......bring your boots...

great effort today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

biggest laugh of the day..................

their linesman made it clear that they were hoping we would be an easy 3 points so that they would be in good shape for next weeks 1/4 finals of the cup. he then mentioned that as a 1/4 finalist, they will receive at least $400. to which one of us replied....

"maybe you can use the money to buy new nets"

those in the know would appreciate it!!!!!!

@knight7 - whats with the angry pills???? ive got a sore cheeck bone!!!! :D

Firstly how do you know how old Knight 7 is?
Second of all "those in the know"who would of been present to see a goal allowed after passing through the side of the net a number of season's ago, could possibly see the funny side, even if you have had to go back through the ancient archives in order to get a bit of dirt :P
As was the ball being cleared just off the back off the net in the first half POOR No. 9
The 4hunge earnt by making the 1/4 finals will probably be put into the running of the o'sullivans beach sports complex, for all to enjoy. Even those who visit and get a decent change rooms and a shower, as aposed to the many teams that visit trinity gardens and are succumbed to what can only be described as third rate facility, And can only be compared to the plumbing in Athens

We loved Maxi as we do "The Jeff Ellis" and when they speak our committee listen, the worse thing for me on that day is the Ref Jim Sprialise is an ex team mate of my Dads and mine and my sapasa coach.

I'll admit it now that yes you should off got 3 goals to our ten

Tony works hard and takes a lot of knocks and they take their toll as the years accumulate.

Thanks swanny, I always enjoy a day down south and today was no exception.

A clarification on the yellow card that I recieved, not for diving, but for swearing at the referee thinking he was an opposition player.

Well done to the boys, completely different back 4 to last week and managed to hold up against the usual strong quick play of the Knights.

You do have a bit of a reputation for diving. Feel like playing for Athelstone next season?

Great win yesterday by the Raptors boys - we didn’t have too many clear cut chances but we put away the ones when it mattered

They themselves had a few chances but thankfully our GK and defence was solid all day and we kept a clean sheet - I think our first for the season.

special mention to the boys who came in for their first A's game of the season. thought they did a great job
