Salisbury united junior football club - Ripped Off

Post by povman_2009 »

SUJFC has been involved in a fraud case where 30K of parents/kids money has been stolen by a former club official.

Local businesses, Channel 9 , Mix 102.3 and a host of other companies and people have rallied behind the club and they will be at Hindmarsh on Friday night rattling the cans to help keep the club afloat.

This person needs to have his lifespan shortened

Have never been to the club, played against the club but will certainly put my hand in the sky rocket (pocket) to help out with some cash.

BR if he shows up it will be a messy day in Salisbury, the response by the media and other companies has been fantastic they are heading back in the black quite rapidly and the future is looking much better this week.

Well done to the trophy company that donated 150 trophies for this weeks presentation

Socrates, the person who stole the money is a gambler so I think the chances of seeing the money again is very slim.

I will not go into the technical details of how the money was stolen, they are still hoping to take action against him....

the person that stole the money was the hands on for signing of cheques and had a gambling problem , the ed federation knew of this at least 2 months ago as they reversed the salibury results to loses. the ED federation is so called rich why havent they come up and help salisbury , remember its kids that need this , stand to corrected if the ED done something .

corona, the club has thrown itself on the mercy of the public and the media, they have already raised more money than they had stolen.

I will have a hunt around and see if the e&d officials have made any concessions ....

e&d actually instigated the investigation, they did not remove points from sujfc once they realised what went wrong and they gave them concessions regarding the payment of fees etc. They have been most supportive in a number of other ways as well.

I hope the media, the club, the members, the supporters, the sponsors and the general public crucify the sick idiot that did this and make an example of them to teach a lesson to all the other would be thieves who are tempted to give it a try at other clubs. God knows how long they may have been doing it in a small way un detected. And I know the person must be sick and have a problem but tell that to the volunteers who have toiled for years to accumalate the cash.......... its to bloody hard to be sorry for them. Perhaps if the embarrassment is high enough it might just help.

have any other clubs suffered this in the past?

not in an official sense, since around 1978 , they have separate facilities one is E&D and the other is FFSA

there are moves afoot currently to have a much closer association between the clubs once more.

the senior club has also been heavily involved in raising money for their neighbours.
