It is now Pumas' league to lose in the As. Murray Bridge move into second (in theory) with a big win over Torrens valley in the catch-up - I assume to be played at the end of the year, which could make an interesting post-season postscript.


Torrens will probably forfeit if played after the season ends, seems like they can't wait for it to end as it is.

Hawksey, the ref was pretty bad but its to be expected, u rarely get a home ref that is fair to both sides in this competition, we have the only one that seems to give more to the away team haha, your ref is actually an old teacher at my high school

we might of deserved the win but we didnt get it, one error from us almost cost us the game so pretty lucky to get away with the draw

not there yet, murray bridge or simba are more then adequate to knock off either of the top 2

This should not be surprising to anyone. Always a likely outcome given Pumas was playing in Sunday Division 2 up to last year.

Although, my own assessment is that the standard of competition at the top of the Div 4 ladder is not too far behind our experiences last year in Sun Div2.
Definately not on par, but also not the cake walk some of us were expecting.

Couple this with the fact that the Pumas A's were only able to retain 6 or 7 of last year's squad, with similar numbers in the reserves.

What was worse, was the fact that I (having also been in the collision) had to help you leave the field given your camp was more interested in running the clock down than assisting you.

Respect for soldiering on, and rejoining the game minutes later on 1 leg.

That might come from the Div 6 game, where 2 players were helping off a 3rd, and the ref restarted play before they had come back on the pitch. Suggested that non-players should be helping.

thanks for helping me off. I think our lads thought i was fucking around. Being the meat in the ssndwich wasn't much fun but i just rolled it, no actusl contact on it.

As for playing on, no way could i allow my team to play with 10 men. My o own team were telling me not to be stupid.

Comments: Surprising loss by Pumas. Gives Congo a reprieve (Murray Bridge or ACU could have gone second). Don't know what happened to our C Grade, but a 10 goal turnaround from the first fixture! If 3 teams end up going up in this league it makes for a very interesting finish.

Comments: All signs point to a final game 'grand final' style match between Pumas and OISC. Pumas have their 'bye' the week before that match, when OISC host Murray Bridge, which will be crucial. This league set for a grandstand finish.

Comments: All signs still point to a final game 'grand final' style match between Pumas and OISC. With the gap being two points, the only likely way that the points can be even going into the final match is if Pumas win two games and draw one, and we win three games and lose one. I don't like the chances of that happening, although Murray Bridge has troubled both sides this season.

only 5 more weeks of the season and there is no clear cut favourite to take out either comps

Its very hard to see the Pumas losing it the As but this week is like a grand final for us against the Bridge as the race for promotion heats up.

Only 1 spot realistically left with 3 teams fighting for it (Congo, Bridge and ACU)

I might have to attend the last game of the season between Pumas vs OISC.

After last weeks results we (murray Bridge) go joint second with a game in hand which we should win...

Does that mean second place is ours if we win every game from now??

Lots of footy to play yet and it does look like anyone can beat anyone.. injuries and all these sendings off are going to start hurting teams around now so should keep it interesting..

Thta said I reckon we have one of the hradest run ins (not counting the game in hand to Torrens Valley.. no offence boys!) we finish Pumas, Iggies then Simba in the last game.. I reckon this will come down to the wire..

And we can't discount a few more shock results.. We finished bottom of Div 3 last year after losing games to the lower teams but we were the first club to take points off vipers and I think Salisbury Villa..

We ALWAYS play better against the better teams so although we have a healthy respect for certain teams we aren't afraid of anyone..
