was a good game to watch as i was at modbury watching the game afterwards. Cumberland missed there 2nd penalty and then cumberlands keeper saved a ordinary penalty from hills.
Cumberland converted the rest and hills missed another one kicking over the bar. Good to see cumberland go through

I'd be surprised. I think their 17s conceded the first round of the cup due to player shortages so unless any of them played for the 19s it would be impossible. Even if that was the case, are the senior competition and the JPL two separate comps? Would playing for the 19s cup tie a player for the juniors?

It seems the Cumberland GK had also played in the U19 cup for Cumberland making him cup tied. You can go up in the FFSA cups but not down grades. Interestingly it was another club whom alerted the Hawks to this after the game.

This will be tough on the other Cumberland players but the coach should know cup tied rules and has effectively cheated.

I believe that keepers have been exempt from being cup tied in previous years.

Keepers are definately exempt and therefore as long as the keeper was the correct age (and played as a keeper) he is ok!
