Were you tested?? I can see why you didn't have the best of games when you were barely required to do anything.

I conceeded two goals. No keeper likes that. First one I was slow to react to, second one I had no chance. Were you there? I couldn't hang around afterwards because I had to work, otherwise I'd have been there for all three games.

Yes, I gave you a pat on the back when you were getting up after falling down in the second half  I was looking for you later but AHOS said you left.

WTF..? MB...?
Yeah look no excuses for yesterdays result. Stirling played really well on the counter attack with their left winger in particular a very good outlet for them. We were very lax yesterday and didnt ever really find that fire to pick it up a gear, until maybe the last 30 minutes. We did have our chance with hitting the cross bar and benny (their keeper) making crucial saves. Stirling did defended very well and showed why they have only conceded 19 (now 20) goals for the year.

In the end no matter what happened yesterday who ever wins their remaining games will win the league. Sounds simple I know but our last 4 games are against the other top 5 teams, so we always knew that it will actually come down to those results as to whether we win the league or not.

So here's to the remaining 5 league games hey?!! Fire up lads!!!

Bad day at the office for us today. The midfield just wasn't there to play. Modbury came out strong, physical and scored two very good goals. The first goal was a nice shot from outside the box after a bit of kick and miss from our players. Very nice taken goal though to the top corner at the far post (no chance for a save). Modbury dominated the midfield in first half completely, which put a lot of pressure on our defense.
Second half was better from Africa but still not quite there. Second goal from Modbury came after a cross from the right which put the striker in a one on one situation. It was a more even half with some really good chances at the end for us, but we didn't take them plus Modbury keeper made an outstanding save as well.
Bs. Africa 2 Modbury 1 HT (1-1)
First win of the season for the Bs :D :D :D :D :D
Our first goal was a penalty after 2 defenders both kicked the same player in the same time. Should have been a double penalty l
Modbury scored in the first half after our keeper misjudged bounce of the ball. Ball went past him and the striker tapped it in .
Second goal by Africa reserves was midway through the second half. A cross from the left side went over all the players to the other side of the box, then a Modbury defender didn't clear the ball and let it bounce on the edge of the 18 yards box, with keeper coming out the striker just placed the ball on the ground to the far post. We also missed two other great chances, but in the end happy with the win.

VILLA 2 BOSA 1

Good win by Villa who were the better team on the day. Game was played at frantic pace and really came to
life in the second half when Bosa were rewarded a free kick and their number 8 (who wears his shorts so high he could wear a neck tie as a belt) expertly put it away as the villa keeper had just finished his wall and was caught out by quick thinking. Villa went on the attck after and deservedly equalized when della scored with a spectacular volley. Rick Cerrachio bought himself on with about 15 to go and put himself into every challenge. With 3 minutes to go a nice cross from young daniele who was having a fairly quiet game was latched onto by Paul Simmons. A good, hard game and a good result for Villa

Hahndorf V MA Hawks
Firsts 0-3, MA 1 up after 30 secs and never really challenged.
Reserves 1-1, Magpies dominated first half but did not score, MA one shot=one goal.

Congratulations to my old side Adel Villa and Vipers for going top of their respective leagues... keep the good work going boys!!!!
PS- Find it fascinating that the Vipers have conceded 30 goals this year, but still top of their comp! Fantastic to see 2 newly promoted sides top. Hope the Cougars are top of div 2 this time next year....

That volley was one of the best goals I've ever seen. Can't defend against that. Great game and well done to Villa.

Boys have set up our season for a great run home................................
Scored 18 Conc 1 in last 5 games....not bad for a team playing div 3 sat 2 years ago
We only have around 5 players from that side that would make our starting 11, and most of the rest of the guys still playing reserves and fighting for spots,
Just goes to show that if you build it people will come :!:

Last 5 games Africa, Wanderers, Uni, St Peters (H), Stirling (H) .......Should be a cracking end to the season :!: :!:

PS...............last post for a while...going to a place called Carreri today where they still use smoke signals to communicate.
Right next door to Plati.....home of the Calabrian Mafia.

The ref in the reserves... an absolute surreal experience. Ended up feeling sorry for the bloke, as he simply didn't know the rules. We were a bit lucky the Burundi guys aren't the biggest set of blokes, they didn't mind late tackles from behind - in the end we (Uni) were doing the same - and a lot of the time I don't think that they realised that you can't just push someone over (extending your arms and all that).

Best moment: keeper clears upfield and the ref blew the whistle... to allow Burundi to make 2 substitutions (I think they made 4 in the end, too). I said the the ref, "mate, you know you can't just stop the game for that?" Him: "No, I have the whistle, so I stopped the game!" Me: "..."

ohlol. (To be honest, I probably wouldn't be having a laugh now if we lost.)

HAHA..........We did lose the game because and only because of that same ref.....
We picked the ball out of their net twice and still could not manage to score on the card....
We felt the same as you guys that it wasn't him cheating so much as simply not knowing the rules.....
