I am after some feedback from all SAASL clubs. We have recently had one of our life members diagnosed with cancer and as a result has to sell his trucking business (owner/operated).
Dave is 42 years of age and like most of us has a family and a mortgage to worry about. Dave has no idea that I am proposing this (and if he did he would object) but I would like to – at the end of the season – organize a “carnival” type day where all teams involved would play a set of round robin matches with the winning team receiving nothing more than BRAGGING RIGHTS, but all proceeds going to Dave and his family.
I am more than happy to speak to our sporting complex about CHEAP drinks and food for the day.
We could also have face painting and things for the kids.
Any suggestions or commitments to the day from any team would be more than gratefully received. If your club would be interested in helping Dave out or have any ideas please PM me back. Thanks.

ah he said he'll see how we go on the weekend and then next week will most probably be his last.. his reasons = team not taking it seriously enough and the main reason being training starts on the pitch at 7 but everyone rocks up at 7 and few minutes past 7 to get ready...

Coach definitely has a point, we played shiit 2day. everyone was pissed from the night b4. game was very ugly, no real football played from either team. but well dont to the stones for taking their chance.
