Grove won the Cup when they were in Division 3 in 1997.

Please remember that I don't speak for the club, and hence when you speak to me it is pointless referring to everyone else in the club. As for humility, why would you think that? Who around here shows humility... regardless of their football background.

Here we go. Another :clown: that was there watching the game on the weekend. I guess it's possible to fluke one goal, then fluke another goal, and then fluke not conceding a goal for 75 minutes. :clown:
kinghenrik wrote:enjoy ya win and certainly enjoy div 3 and i can only hope that i have not retired yet when you boys can prove just how consistently awesome yous are in the premier division.
Are you having a go at us for being in Div 3?
As a 'newly formed' club, we had no choice but to start in Div 5 two years ago. Last year we were in Div 4, this year Div 3. My question to you is, could ANYONE have done any better? :clown: :clown: :clown:

The current goal is to be playing Div 2 next year. Your club was there 2-3 years ago, remember?
im not having a go at you guys for being in the 3rd div. i was there myself for a few seasons. what i am having a go at was the arrogance and audacity of YOU (sorry not your club) in giving advice to phw about how to improve their game. be honest, if a div 5 team just knocked you out of the clup and then came on here giving ya pointers, would you take that as anything less than a piss take or possibly outrageous arrogance. i think you know what im saying, personally when i read your comments to phw i piss myself at picturing what the boys down at northbri would be thinking when reading it. it would be very interesting to get your guys in the cup as i would love to see just how good you can go. good luck with promotion and maybe see ya soon.

Think of it constructive feedback from a player that has been involved in both higher levels of playing and coaching. never ridicule or discount somebody because of status my friend it is an overwhelming argument for tall poppy syndrom or even in your case small man syndrom

Elizabeth Vale 4 - 1 Sturt Marion

(May've been 5-1 )

Missed the first 30mins but from what I saw the Vale boys played really well. Passing was brilliant and the defence was strong. Vale had a man sent off midway through the 2nd half but still managed to put one in the back of the net after that. Sturt Marion never really looked like the found there feet... Great win for the boys!!!
Player that got sent off was in the refs ear after the game maybe trying to get himself off for next week.

surely itd just be easier to not get sent off in the first place... :? :? :?

il think you will find that referring to people as clowns because they disagree with what you say can be a strong argument for insecurity. certainly a trait i would not have expected from someone who has played such a high level of football. next one, small man syndrome?? thats rich coming from the GENERAL  one thing i will say as someone who has played in both leagues is that to state that the gap is seperated purely on fitness only is extremely ignorant and a major over generalisation. im positive that you guys have many good players. you certainly are not shy about letting us all know it either. one thing i will say is do not rate how you would fair in the premier div going on your results in the 3rd div and cup. because if you have this attitude upon making 1st div, you will be rudely awakened. now, i hope you can take that as a little constructive criticism. :D
