I know this has been spoken about alot and im sorry to bring it back up again.
BUT..
Reading all this, i think i have a few comments myself!
I am the girl who got her leg broken,
Gubs is correct this girl had clipped me from behind just recently.
The side stab, cheap shot, that happened, happened when the ball had gone out of play! There was no need for a tackle like that, spec that early in the game. There was no rush to get a goal, the ball was in our defending half, 20 mins into the game!
I am not angry at the girl who did the tackle although, she needs to realise that there is a time to let the ball out and not attempt such a stupid "tackle". give up possession for a throw-in for the other team!
I am out for 6 weeks, heading back to America in the 6 weeks. She did break my Fibula, and if it were to be a tackle, with two people going in for the ball 50 50 not 100 to 0 then maybe no one would have been hurt.
Where its said that having my leg broken is enough punishment for her! that some how doesnt seem even! How can you say that its punishment to her, when im the one with the broken leg. Why does it take the girl, to break someones leg to realise her tackles are dangerous and un-called for! It was purely a cheap shot !!

Alright, im sorry it came across that way.
I do realise that you are the one whose suffering in the long run, I didnt mean that she was the only one whose suffering or feeling bad, and I probably could've worded what I said better...

i just meant that she really is feeling terrible, and whilst a red card could've been warranted, that i think shes learnt her lesson.

Players are subject to injuries of various descriptions, that is part of sport. Accidental.
However this injury last Sunday was reckless carelessness. I was there saw the first clip and seconds later I heard a crack, and commented to the person alongside me something serious has happened, my view of the second tackle was obscured by the crowd on the sideline.
Think girls next time it could be you on the receiving end, so cut out the blatant unfair tackles.
The girl who received the broken leg has every right to comment on how she feels about the incident, and knowing the girl concerned she will now concentrate on getting back into the action.
I wish her well in her Junior College Year in the USA and that the leg mends quickly and is ready to play as early as possible. All the best.

she would be feeling like sh11t..
i broke my leg against west adelaide in a collision with a goal keeper. two months later the same goal keeper broke lia's leg.. yes both uncalled for - i mean she didnt have to push me into the goal post and she didnt have to slide wrecklessly against lia but the point is it happened sh1t happens sometimes and whether or not you feel bad etc the matter of the fact is - someone got hurt and is out with a serious injury - a serious injury which has the potential to wreck someones career...
in saying that i feel sorry for the girl who did it.
but doubly sorry for erin who is an awesome girl and is one of the fairest soccer players going around.
just one last thing - when erin got clipped the first time, unlike normal soccer players; she stayed on her feet - had she gone down like an italian in the 90th minute of a world cup game - she may still have her leg in one piece!!!
i dont know if that makes any sense but yeah - i hope erin gets back asap!!

i was thinking tho, i should have gone down after the first clip! but would the ref have even given me a free for that! haha. Or i could have then copped the foot in the face after taking the dive!!
