TO PAO SUPPORTERS
Has your club sold off all its assest in Greece??? Ive never seen so much transfer activity by one club in 2 weeks in all my life. Orlando Engelaar, Julio Cruz, Aritz Aduriz, Sebastian Leto, Djibril Cisse, Jonathan Zebina, Grygera Close, Carlos Marchena & Kostas Katsouranis. Whats happening down there in Vazela land??? What starved of success are we??? Someone needs to tell you thats its not how many you sign but how good they are
I thought that Oly are always paying off the refs??? If thats the case then why are you blokes wasting your money??? Or is it that you raped your successful basketball teams finances after its European trophy???
Whatever it is, i can tell you that beating you blokes and winning the Championship is something an Oly supporter will never tire of
ps-Must say, i like the Cisse transfer, just hope his broken leg can hold up in the Greek League

I never said how many "TRANSFERS", i said "TRANSFER ACTIVITY". Sorry if you misunderstood, but i wasnt implying you had signed all those players but was just surprised at how much interest you showed in so many players in the space of 2 weeks. Melberg is a quality signing for us and as far as buying referees, i guess we are only accused of that when we are winning Championships but is quickly forgotten as an excuse when you manage to win a title ha???arxidi wrote:theres a difference between buying players, and buying referees.

Heyyyyyyy the numnut is back, Well Collosus as many players that we have had LINKED to the same amount has been linked to the gays, Kalstrom, Bobbo, Mellberg, Owen, Gonzales, Morientes, Arango, John Carew just to name a few. Collosus if you followed your so called "beloved team" long enough you would know that this happens every Transfer season and only a handfull of them are true. And when Cisse destroys Mellberg while running onto a through ball im sure his broken leg will turn out fine.

Ohi ke numnut, why the name calling PT13??? I was only surprised by your clubs transfer activity in a 2 week time bracket and i never said it was a bad thing. Also, i know that Oly have chased many players, but not all in the space of 2 weeks, it was just an observation i made with your club, thats all. No need to get upset, leave that for the season proper, God knows you will need itPao Thyra 13 wrote:Heyyyyyyy the numnut is back, Well Collosus as many players that we have had LINKED to the same amount has been linked to the gays, Kalstrom, Bobbo, Mellberg, Owen, Gonzales, Morientes, Arango, John Carew just to name a few. As for Cisse destroying Melberg, you could be right, but you better hope we play you in the first couple of rounds because if we dont, i highly doubt Cisse we survive the abbatoir that are some of the lower teams

Just like a lot of people in Greece these pricks are jealous and say shit about Cisse and his past broken legs - shows me what kind of low life they are - let them be and let us be better than them like we always are.
ps. maybe you should also look at the bull that comes from your team too mate.

The only reason people are beginning to bag Cisse is he comes out and says a goal a game and 30+ for the year.
Everyone takes that as pure arrogance and the natural reaction is to bag him.
Wait till he goes to the xorafia of Kavala and Panthrakikos and plays against 11 men behind the ball.....I think he's bitten off more than he can chew.
15 goals would be a succesful year....

Anyways enough of "trying" to have some rivalry fun with you blokes, i guess by the completion of Round 12 bragging rights will again have fallen to one of us sets of supporters and the other will have to wear it although judging by your reaction in the preseason on here, you blokes wont be taking to well when we again wipe the floor underneath you

Hey Kop, reminds me of this guy called Mario Perucco who came to West Adelaide in the old NSL days and before a ball was even kicked he said on National Television that he would bag not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 against Adelaide City in the derby the following weekend only to see Adelaide City put 3 or 4 against usThe Kop wrote:The only reason people are beginning to bag Cisse is he comes out and says a goal a game and 30+ for the year.

If my memory serves me correct, he didnt even get 4 in the whole amount of time he spent with Westies
Let Cisse talk the talk and Olympiakos will show him how to walk the walk
I Hope someone at the Karaiskaki has banner which reads "THIS IS PIREAS" and then one of our defenders snaps him in half which wouldnt be too hard considering he is a tall lanky stick that has been snapped a few times in the past

I always find it interesting that in Australia everyone seems to support Olympiakos, PAO, AEK or PAOK.
Geez did no Athenians come to Australia that support Ethnikos, Ionikos, Atromitos, Akratitos etc?
Or any Northerners that support Iraklis, Aris or Apollon Kalamaris?
Or do you guys all suffer from inferiority complexes?

Give you a tip on this one. The Greeks that came here, the originals from the 50s etc didnt come here through soccer transfers. They didnt know the game existed. The learnt about the world game in aus.
Also look at it this way, in the motherland you will find that most Greeks support A B C D and the other teams average 1000 people to their games. Go to other parts of the world with heavy Greek population and you will find the majority follow A B C D from the Greek League too.
There is your inferiority complex

Panathinaikos Interested In Tottenham Hotspur's Pascal Chimbonda - Report
The Frenchman could leave the club for a second time...
Tottenham Hotspur defender Pascal Chimbonda is a target for Panathinaikos as the Greens aim to strengthen their squad for the new season.
Although Chimbonda was sold by Tottenham to Sunderland for the start of the 2008-09 campaign, the French defender was brought back to Spurs by manager Harry Redknapp, who replaced the departing Juande Ramos after a disastrous start to their Premier League campaign.
The right-back may now be set to leave the club for a second time, with The Times reporting that Panathinaikos have expressed an interest in signing the player.
The Greek club have started their transfer dealings already this summer, purchasing Sebastian Leto from Liverpool and Djibril Cisse, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland with Chimbonda, from Olympique de Marseille.
Spurs could be willing to allow Chimbonda to leave as Marseille and Blackburn Rovers have also been linked with the Frenchman.
Vedran Corluka, Alan Hutton and Chris Gunter are all competing for the right-back berth at White Hart Lane, while Tottenham boss Redknapp is said to be preparing for a mass clear-out this summer.

Re: TO PAO SUPPORTERS
This was on FIFA.com' homepage:
A new Greek golden age (FIFA.com) Friday 10 July 2009
Whether in the field of science, arts, astronomy or military strategy, Greece has always managed to amaze its European neighbours, and in 2004 this success extended to football as Otto Rehhagel's men were crowned champions of Europe for the first time. Greek clubs, however, have struggled to reach similar heights, and today remain in the shadow of Europe's elite, a trend they hope to buck next season.
The three giants of Greek football set the ball rolling a few years ago by attracting some of world football's biggest names. Frenchman Christian Karembeu played for Olympiakos, while fellow FIFA World Cup™ winner Rivaldo played for both Olympiakos and city rivals AEK Athens. Finally, Panathinaikos have had stars like Brazilian Flavio Conceicao, Croatian Robert Jarni and Portuguese Paulo Sousa in their ranks. It is fair to say, however, that when these footballing legends arrived in Greece, their best days were already behind them.
Many people think I've made a mistake, but I've proved time and again that I can bounce back. If I can score 20 to 25 goals next season, my name will be back in the headlines and I can win a place in the World Cup squad.
Djibril Cisse on his move to Greece
Since then, things have changed and Greek clubs are now attracting world-class players at the peak of their careers. Olympiakos convinced the Swede Olof Mellburg to cut short his Juventus adventure so that the Erythrolefki (Red-and-Whites) could benefit from his vast experience acquired from 90 international call-ups and seven seasons at Aston Villa. Championship winners for the last five years, Olympiakos also secured the signature of English forward Matt Derbyshire who, having begun his career at Blackburn, has decided to extend his stay in Athens after scoring five goals in seven games while on loan there last season, a ratio which he hopes to improve upon in the coming year.
These new recruits will be joining up with stars like goalkeeper Antonios Nikopolidis, defenders Didier Domi and Raul Bravo, midfielders Luciano Galletti and Cristian Ledesma and Brazilian forward Diogo to form a team which Olympiakos hopes will not only clinch their sixth consecutive domestic title, but will also reach the club's third European quarter-final at the least, thus emulating the achievements of 1993 (in the European Cup Winners' Cup) and 1999 (in the UEFA Champions League).
The only problem for the Piraeus side is that other clubs are just as ambitious, with Panathinaikos leading the charge. Tired of playing second fiddle to the Erythrolefki, the Prasini (Greens) have pulled out all the stops in a bid to knock their fiercest rivals off their pedestal, even managing to tempt away Argentinian Sebastian Leto, one of their key players from last season who was on loan from Liverpool.
But it is another ex-Red that has really been making a splash in Athens, with Frenchman Djibril Cisse having joined Panathinaikos in a bid to win silverware and get his career back on track. After serious injury, mixed fortunes at Marseille, and a season battling against the drop at Sunderland, the 27-year-old Les Bleus striker is aiming to win back his international place. "From a sporting point of view, what attracted me here was Champions League football," admits the former Auxerre man, who was given a rapturous welcome by 3,500 fans upon arrival in Greece. "Many people think I've made a mistake, but I've proved time and again that I can bounce back. If I can score 20 to 25 goals next season, my name will be back in the headlines and I can win a place in the World Cup squad."
If Cisse is to net that many goals, he will need quality service from the Panathinaikos midfield, and with Brazilian Gilberto Silva, 2004 European champions Yorgos Karagounis and Kostas Katsouranis, and former Ajax winger Leonardo, Henk ten Cate's side seem well-prepared to challenge for their 20th Greek title and make a big impact in Europe.
Aris prepare for battle
With AEK struggling to recapture past glories - their last title was in 1994 - Aris Thessaloniki may be a good outside bet to dethrone Olympiakos next season. Named after the Greek god of war, the club has rolled out the heavy artillery and look set to do battle.
In addition to Tunisian midfielder Mehdi Nafti, winner of the CAF African Cup of Nations 2004 and formerly with Birmingham City and Racing Santander, and young Irish forward Ian Daly, formerly of Manchester City, last season's sixth-placed team have decided to turn to South America to bolster their squad. Their star signing, 32-year-old Uruguayan journeyman Sebastian Abreu, is out to prove he is still as sharp as ever as he prepares to play for his 16th club in his seventh different league. Chances are that El Loco will feel very much at home in Thessaloniki, where he will team up with old South American adversaries Leandro Gracian, Cristian Nasuti and Carlos Arano, who signed from Boca Juniors, Banfield and Huracan respectively.
The Aris-PAOK derbies look set to be even more hotly-contested than usual, as Sergio Conceicao, Pablo Contreras and Ibrahima Bakayoko will be joined at PAOK by Italian veterans Mirko Savini, formerly of Fiorentina and Palermo, and Bruno Cirillo, who had spells with AEK, Reggina and Inter. Other big names who have opted to go Greek include Croatian Bosko Balaban, who links up with Uruguayans Alvaro Recoba and Fabian Estoyanoff at Panionios, and Latvian international striker Maris Verpakovskis, who has joined the ranks of Ergotelis after plying his trade with Dynamo Kiev and Celta Vigo.
With all these new arrivals, the country's ever-passionate fans will have even more to shout about in the new season as they aim to secure their place amongst the heavyweights of European football.

Re paok, when you win half the titles we do, then and only then can you be taken seriously, until then, worry about trying to help your team win games, and once you have achieved that, try and win a Championship. By that time, ill probably be a papou ready to cark it and wont have to worry about posting to you anyways
