I have spoken with officials from the club with regards to what has been written here regarding this in the past. A lot of what is said on here is way off the mark and there is a lot more to it whan what meets the eye. This includes the provision for buying shirts too.
As for the quip about buying a lawnmower... by rights it should be up to the school or council to be ensuring that the ground is in a reasonable state. Granted it is not the best ground around, but I'd say the majority of SAASL grounds I have been to are poor.

not fishing at all, i just believe in everyone having equal rights. If these immigrants are getting hand outs, why aren't i? and why aren't the aussie clubs.
Personally i enjoy playing against africa, i always score loads of goals.

So I am the racist because I have no issue with the SAASL not charging these guys registration fees?
These people came to this country, from war-torn countries often as refugees. Often are poor and dont know how to speak the language, so are already behind the 8-ball.
You on the other hand are in full-time employment and made a choice to come to Australia. So you think that for the sake of equality you shouldnt be charged $37 registration fees.
Please dont use the "fishing" line to hid your ignorance and racist views.
Did you often share these views with Johnny D?

Further I thought that they were exempt from rego fees in the first year.
Also didnt SAASL receive $10,000 in grants for facilitating a competition for these clubs to compete? So your right, they should of double-charged them.

We pay our registration fees ...since day one we have payed and we will continue to pay as long as we are around..
we pay our cards fees, referee levy and wateva else the federation asks for...im not the secretary so im not going to comment on what we pay and how much but as far as i know we pay full fees like everybody else
All the federation do is provide us with the same services like any other club....have u ever considered the fact that the federation gets grants from accomodating african teams in the amateur league...therefore we are of benefit to the federation and the league and so to you as well...
so much hate here against Africa(is it beacuse we came out and got promoted to the first division, something that most clubs have not been able to do) The club is also open to non-African players(like myself) and we do have a few therefore proving the point ....I feel sorry for you hating on us and whinging and moaning like cry babies that Africa gets priority from the federation....
Instead of concentrating your energy on complaining about Africa...start by looking in your own backyard and ways to improve your club...
Thank you

We are not allowed to sell alcohol on the school grounds...but for your information we are always willing to stay back after the games for a beer or two when travelling...we know how hard is for teams to survive and raise money in today's world, so we are willing to help as much as we can even if it means drink a few beers with the opposition....Stirling is a perfect exampleGod is an Englishman wrote:never been able to do that at Cowandilla you've never had a bar.blind_spot wrote:And isn't that what its all about ...playing a game of football and being able to have a beer afterwards ....God is an Englishman wrote:Cowandilla's a great place to play. Last season was a bit hard for to organize things as we were still getting around.. remember we are only a few years old as a club....but this year was definitely better ...we have had bbq and drinks to almost every home game...as for the atmosphere we have a great atmosphere...most visiting players hate our crowd because they sing and and beat the drums...while most clubs in the amateur league supporters don't have that ...next time try and join the crowd ...if u come with a friendly attitude its all good .....i bet, you won't be eaten alive ...look while the game is on ppl say a lot on things ... after the game it should be all forgotten....maine road wrote:have you ever been to one of your own home games, never is there drinks or food......or even a welcoming atmosphere....blind_spot wrote:And isn't that what its all about ...playing a game of football and being able to have a beer afterwards ....God is an Englishman wrote:Cowandilla's a great place to play. We have never had problems with most teams like Stirling, Modbury, St Peters, Gleeson, Villa and so on ...I think its all about both parties knowing that its a game of football and thats it...however some players from some teams have gone a bit over the top and racist comment have been made
