Just wondering whats up with Adelaide citys 15's.
Won the league last year and this year are middle of the table.
Also lost to Blue Eagles 5 or 6-1
Whats going on?

Suggested elsewhere they lost quite a few players to 16s and 17s this year.Shearer FFSA wrote:both

Would have expected them to to be able to recruit well for replacements though, not thta they would be the only club to struggle doing that.
Is this a sign of the U16 comp stretching player resources?

Mabye
I guess in the end its all about player development.
If a 15 year old is good enough to play 16's or 17's then their club should be supporting them to do so.

Not worried - just curious.Juventus wrote:Why is so many people worried about this? :?
But on reflection we shouldn't be expecting the club to give away any trade secrets anyway.

Re: Adelaide city under 15A's
only time city 15s have had full strenght team was during MAN U cup and they played wel and were unlucky not to go to melbourne, think they have lost like 5-6 players if not more
Re: Adelaide city under 15A's
yeah well in the manchester united cup they had 4 16s down so thats why! mean while west adelaide has had an untouched squad all year!champion_101 wrote:only time city 15s have had full strenght team was during MAN U cup and they played wel and were unlucky not to go to melbourne, think they have lost like 5-6 players if not more

Re: Adelaide city under 15A's
Believe me sunshine they played with a full strength team against Gawler last Tuesday night bringing down 4/5 16's and that's from one of their 14's that sat on the bench for most of the game, a few parents weren't happy eitherchampion_101 wrote:

I don't blame them
Re: Adelaide city under 15A's
The City 15's lost 5 players from their original man united cup squad because 1 player went to SASI and the other 4 were pushed up to the U16's team because the U16's team was short due to players leaving after the trials.Believe me sunshine they played with a full strength team against Gawler last Tuesday night bringing down 4/5 16's and that's from one of their 14's that sat on the bench for most of the game, a few parents weren't happy either

To answer prefly i have to say that they dropped the U16's players for the Gawler game because they had some players out due to quarantine for swine flu. Without the U16's players they would not have had enough numbers.
Now to answer LETHAL, I am pretty sure that West Adelaide have dropped players from older age groups to their U15's during the year. I am also sure that West Adelaide have dropped U19's to their U16's and U17's during the year so don't go saying things about other clubs when your club does the same thing.
Re: Adelaide city under 15A's
West Adelaide under 15's have only dropped one player from the 16's this year.manu17 wrote:The City 15's lost 5 players from their original man united cup squad because 1 player went to SASI and the other 4 were pushed up to the U16's team because the U16's team was short due to players leaving after the trials.Believe me sunshine they played with a full strength team against Gawler last Tuesday night bringing down 4/5 16's and that's from one of their 14's that sat on the bench for most of the game, a few parents weren't happy either

Re: Adelaide city under 15A's
whatever..... i dont care if they have dropped players. If they are the correct age then they can but i hate when people say bad things about other clubs when they are just as bad!!! i am pretty sure that every club has dropped players if its from older age groups or a better division (from a's to b's).

Untouched...u must be joking me
Where was Fasil and Teddy when the 16s from both teams met eachother
untouched u must be on drugs
clearly they played in the pre-season trial match in the 16s game but were missing in the league game
and another thing i remember Meni playing 17s then filled in for 16s on sunday
and im sure Temmazoz (pardon the spelling) is 19s and sits on the bench for seniors among other new faces in that 16s match

Robert my friend i am over it
i dont care that West Adelaide drop players but its no use trying to hide it like most West Adelaide fans/players do
If a team wants to drop layers to give them the advantage then they are allowed to do so but why hide it

sorry mate that's rubbish, you had about 4 on the bench. To answer prefly i have to say that they dropped the U16's players for the Gawler game because they had some players out due to quarantine for swine flu. Without the U16's players they would not have had enough numbers.
Look I'm not saying anything about Adelaide City playing eligible players in their teams, other teams do it and its within the rules but you had under 14s sitting on the bench for most of the game and playing the 16s. Gawler were told we had to play the game at that time because Adelaide City had a lot of under 14 in the team and they would be going to the Kanga cup, only to find out the under 14s were on the bench. How many in the squad? 15/16 players, are you telling me you had so many out with swine flu that you wouldn't of had enough to field a team or even maybe 12 players like Gawler had. You should tell the coaches there that you can still play with only 11,12,or 13 players you know
bloody luxury to have 4 on the bench lad
