Score finished up 1-2. Jets probably deserved the points. Fought harder than saints all game and it showed with the result. Saints better pick up there performances, cos every team will alway always want to knock of the league leaders.

BOG was possibly hutchy for the jets or one of their CM lads.[/quote

whats CM lads mate? :?
Central Midfield... Hey how long has Paul Turley been playing down there? You guys are building a good squad down there, sorry there was no where to have a beer with you guys afterwards!!!
paul has been with us for around 6 weeks now but that was his first start in the first team, i would have given him best player for sure yesterday! although scotty in goals was awesome too. can always catch up for a drink at our club last game of the season when we smash the wanderers at home :D :D :D :D good game anyway yesterday i reckon you would have been happy to get 90 mins under your belt! one other thing though, fill up those penalty spots as i got a little nervous yesterday with big brian in goals and having to take it out of the ditch

Yeh...hilarious. The explanations provided by GIAE and others of the Laws and how it has been applied in the two incidents that you have described is spot on. 100% correct and no inconsistency at all. You have no reason to moan about it.

A: Salisbury Villa 2 Vipers FC 2
B: Salisbury Villa 4 Vipers FC 0

Scorers (A): Massis, Agalidis

I don't think anyone could walk away from this one without having been entertained in one way or another!!! I never comment on referees on the forum but must admit the poor bloke lost control of the game when he soiled his pants after sending off a Villa player for punching one of our players in the 1st half - what ensued was not pretty, with coach and players wanting to attack said ref, and supporters coming onto the pitch to attack the Vipers player. Ugly stuff. We walked over anticipating the cancellation, but the ref has balls and onwards we went. He did manage to even it up red-wise in the 2nd half.

Now to the football! We took the lead in the 1st half, after pretty much dominating possession in a ridiculous fashion. Villa, to their credit, didn't change their style once down to 10 men, and did equalise in the 2nd half. We took the lead halfway through, but conceded late on to set up a tense finish. We had perhaps 5 clear cut chances to kill the game off, whilst Villa had a few free kicks around injury time that could've settled it. In the end, a draw was a very frustrating result to walk away with, but after learning some of the other results, it just means everything stays as is up at the summit. With 8 games to go, the championship and promotion is still very much an open affair.

If your B's didn't stay undefeated after the team we had to put on the park then they wouldnt deserve to stay top!

Not too sure about that comment Southampton #7 - Lucas Leiva commented on the actual events of the match, he didn't take into account many other things that occurred on the sidelines, and then two other people from different clubs comment about it, and express their opinions. But stuff that, i'm not interested in throwing handbags around because after the game we all shook hands.

All in all a good game, little disappointed about the draw, and maybe we did throw the points away, but we will just have to work harder next week, and for the rest of the season.

Also, if we are throwing points away, we are on equal points are we not?

Think you're being a bit hard on yourself there ChelseaGK. Gleeson boys competed well in the B's and showed a lot of heart, would have been an easy game to give away going on both teams positions in the table. Hope you saved plenty of fight for this weeks fixture.....

We definitely have the heart in the B's - just knew we were up against it with our coach, assistant coach and a keeper all having to dust off the boots. At no stage did we imagine a walkover would be on the cards.

We'll definitely be up for it this week. Villa caught us napping at home last time out but again we showed we're never out of it and clawed back from 0-3 down to 2-3. Another 5 mins and we might've slavaged a point! Regular players available again this week so should be a good game hopefully.

blind_spot wrote:Wanderers (Gazeti, ???) 2 - Africa 1 (Kanga from penalty)
Lots of chances went to either side in the first half, eventually Wanderers scoring from a corner kick that wasn't clear out by Africa defense.
Really good game to watch with lots of hard tackles going in..In the end with a big help from the referee Wanderers won..
I mean how can the referee not give a red card to a handball in the box as a last man, but give a penalty and a yellow card I will never know.
Never heard there is a time limit on giving yellow cards to defenders.Apparently if its five minutes in the game and you commit a bad tackle its too early to start giving yellow cards???????? :? :? :? :?
Also he was ready to give Africa a red card no problem. Proud of the boys today. Can not ask anymore of them.
PS Very sloppy day from Wanderers keeper...Not that he is anygood anyway

Not sure what game you were watching mate, but I'm pretty confident in saying that it would've been terrible to watch - sounds like there were a few ordinary performances this weekend and at the end of the day Wanderers have moved up a spot on the table and got the three points.
Scorers for Wanderers were Cazzetta and Davis the birthday boy.
Africa could have had a couple in the first, but failed to capitalise and Wanderers could've had a few, converting one before the half.
How did the ref help Wanderers? If you're referring to the hand ball in the box - you got a penalty and scored, that actually got you back in the game... I guess a yellow was issued because the shot at goal was not on target!
Regarding time limits, WTF..? If you're referring to the first challenge of the match, I think the ref saw that the intent in the challenge was not to harm the player and was a slip from the defender on a greasy pitch... He had a word and that is good reffing.
If he was "ready to give Africa a red" as you say - why didn't he - helping the Wanderers?? You're cooked buddy!!

Both teams displayed some good patches on an ordinary pitch - Wanderers away to Uni next week.
Ha Ha typical of Wanderers ... u telling me that the handball in the box was't intentional....and it did not stop the ball from going in cos then im telling you u might need to get new glasses ... Even if it was not gonna go in, still intentional handball and as a last man RED CARD...
Considering time limits thats what our player got told by the referee..too early to give out yellow cards... Basically that means you can break some1 leg in the first minute and it wont count...If the pitch is that bad then be aware of it dont slide tackle ... Anyway it was clear the ref was an in house Wanderers ref..

yeah the keeper was really sloppy ...couldn't even kick the ball from a few back passes...
Wanderers should look into getting a new keeper(could be looking at a new premiership)....I remember in a cup game two years ago i scored straight from corner 8)
His mouth is bigger than the pitch though...
