@ Jean Claude, contribute to the discussion or PO.

Or are you a typical aussie like Blue Moon who cannot do this & needs to revert back to name calling?

I didnt see the C team game so I wont comment but apparently the same standard was acheived.

The main game had only one official linesman so the ref used our club linesman, even though it was an away game for us. When I asked the reason he used our linesman the answer was he watched the substandard effort from the ressies game.

I would suggest to the Prez and commitee of Florina to lift your standards in this regard so your club can move on to become a real force in the league rather than be gifted games.

Oh and let Louie know that his position when a penalty is taken should be in the penalty box rather than 5 yards from the half way line, behind a wall of players.
Maybe Marooned if the guys who played c's stopped asking for free kicks for phantom elbows, begging for corners when it's a clear goal kick and vice versa and asking for phantom backpasses, maybe i'd would take your post more seriously.

The C game was played in good spirits by all - your second goal came from a free kick and you guys missed a penalty so the calls were being made.

As far as the reserve game goes - the penalty to florina was clearly there. There was a blatant shove in the back and rightly called. Louie very rarely calls anything for anyone - so for him to give a penatly it MUST have been there. I have been blatantly elbowed in the head and louie has waived play on.

As far as the first team game goes - congratulations on an important win. Downs played smart football, strong defensivly and caught us on the counter three times and thats all it took BUT your linesman should never have been given the flag. I wont abuse him because its a tough job but that should have been our guy doing the line and Kym the ref should be severly reprimanded for this decision. Your second goal should NEVER have been allowed. The ball had clearly crossed for a throw-in, the linesman had his flag in the air and the ref didnt even look at him until 30 seconds after and told the linesman 'dont worry about it' - in the next passage of play, you guys scored your second.

This, however is football and congratulations again for a crucial three points...

goal was from goober and stids got sent off. on the pen i was 5 yards away and the ref was behind me when he awarded the pen. i could see it was outside the box so how he judged it inside is beyond me. if there is any doubt why would you award the harshest penalty? what was said to ref deserved the punishment as i was next to ref when the spray occurred and believe me you wouldnt say too many of those words around your mother! just another quick point, has the east pitch ever been deemed dangerous with the cricket area? i played on that side in the first half and it was like running on concrete with screw ins! all in all east a good bunch a lads and i did the right thing a had a beer and a feed before heading off. cheers lads and see you last game of the season!

one thing on the ressies game florina v downs.. which was 4 -0

first goal your defence let our forward walk into the box and score on his second attempt.
second goal was from a header.. 2-0 up, you guys didn't score so if the game ended 2-1 you may get away with the blame the ref card.

whether loui was bad or not your guys defence was the blame for the loss and forwards for not putting away their
chances.

Had our fair share of the play & chances yeterday but unfortuantly gave away a silly goal late on. As for both games I personally do not feel that the quality of refereeing was what caused the results.

(C's) As has already been said before, one goal came from a free kick awarded to the downs. A penalty was also awarded, and saved. Also the first goal came after I saved the first attempt, as I was getting back up after parrying the shot, the striker that shot it ran straight into me knocking me back off my feet (I am not claiming this was intentional) but a one sided ref would have blown for a foul right there. Our ref did not, and allowed the downs to score. There were decisions that were not given on both sides, as there were decisions given against both sides. From memory the downs had at least 3 free kicks from just outside the 18yrd box, 1st one scored, 2nd they tried to take quickly and ball went well over, 3rd was a good shot that didn't miss by much. Also they scuffed a couple of one on one's with the keeper. At one point they even pulled off a player who had completely stuffed a clear cut one on one, even though he was the only player up till then that looked like he was going to score. To claim the ref was as bad as they are claiming, I would like to see any of the downs army actually give us some examples of where he was not up to their high standard.

(B's) Hmm all I have heard is the downs complain about the penalty decision. Again lets see if they can actually give us some examples. As far as the penalty goes, again as I have stated from my position it looked clear cut, but there was definately contact. From my position it was a clear push in the back, and if it was inside the box and the player went down then there would not be many club refs that would not award a penalty. Whether or not the penalty caused the outcome, I doubt it. The downs did not have as many clear cut chances as florina, and from memory I did not have to commit to many saves, the only one that really stands out was late in the second half. We managed 3 more goals, clear cut goals.

A lot has been said about the quality of the refs in the b's and c's. I have seen plenty of them, but I feel that the ref's at florina are far from the worst, and no where near the worst in div 1. Both the B's and c's have lost games at home and therefore it cannot be claimed that the ref's are affecting the scores.

I congratulate the downs on winning the A's and on going top at the half way mark. I also look forward to playing them last game of the season.

florina b's cetainly deserved their win and although the ref's performance did have too much impact on the final score it was beyond a joke. blantant bias and just ruins a good contest between the teams.

in the a's very tight first half with florina just shading the play, however a very dominant downs performance second half all over the pitch, florina lacked their early intensity and a very comfortable win in the end.

realist (should be pretentious), you've made a couple of slanderous comments in your ramblings. i'm not an aussie but what do you mean by being a typical aussie? do us all a favour and stay south of gepps cross.

Considering that the ref didnt turn up until 2.30pm and then spend the next 10-15min in our clubroom getting ready dont know how he watched the ressies game. :? I also questioned him when he told me that he wanted a Downs person to run the other line, I know that when only one official linesman turns up the home team usually provides the linesman but told me because we paid for the linesman he can run our line.

Considering the home refs the Downs has provided in the past they shouldnt be having a go at other clubs,( remember reading about an ingle farm game once ) , and has R.H learnt yet when he sends players off from both sides that he needs to write both players sent offs on the team sheet not just the oppisitions. Got some nerve to call other people cheats.

Regarding the A's game well done to bert and the boys deserved the points,

See you in Round 18.

at the end of the day mate you started this with the northern suburbs comment and now typical aussie. im getting the impression that there is a bit more to your grievance than doing ya bit for kesab. quite frankly i can smell ya bitterness right through the computer screen. how about you leave out the race factor and the local geography as nobody has commented on yours. i believe you were called a tool. not a greek tool or slovak tool etc. just a tool. theres no need to complicate this forum with mindless bigotted dribble. ps. im all for a cleaner environment too but can we get back to the football.

Please tell me where I have been slanderous. Not appreciating the filth people leave behind is hardly pretentious. I suggest you look up the definition in a dictionary. And who said I was south of Gepps Cross :?

Where was I racist? If you find being typecast as a typical aussie offensive then report the post. I doubt that admin would agree. I thought aussies had thick skin? :?

As for your post script, yes, lets get back to football. BUT please pick up after yourselves :!: Dont try to justify the act like most have.

Cricket pitch is even worse in the wet- it becomes an ice skating rink.

I agree that the foul was committed outside the box- I was probably about 5-10 yards away when it occurred. However, some donkey from our team should have scored the winner with less than 5 to go but the plonker skyed it over the bar.

Regarding the Florina v Downs.

Id agree with most comments about the C grade. We did play a poor second half so the result was merited.

So far as the B grade though, It is quite easy to say that if things did go our way we still would have lost 2-1, but however, mentally when a ref is in that fame of mind, a team looses its metal confidence in the game. IMO. I think there should have been a free kick to az just before the penalty was given. he was clearly showed out of the contest for the origianl corner. I feel your second goal was offside due to the header when it was played forward. We cleared that one, but it fell back to your played who scored nicely. The linesman called it but to no avail. We had 2 offsides called that clearly werent, but they were closer to the half way line.
Stavs tacke in the 5th minute of play agains Pommy was shocking, and if you know the relationship there, then you know the ball was never being played.
Your 3rd goals was a great one, well worked. and The 4th was more lack of cencentration on our part.

Club refs are there to do a job, and they do do a good one, however over the last 2 seasones, we have been trated this way at Florina and it does get frustrating. I thought he did a good more in the 2nd half, but by then the damage was done to make the game less of what it should have been. A great game of Football. All the best to "long ball: Stav and the team for the rest of the year, and look forward to winning the leauge against you in the final round. hahaha. Hopefully.
I think my drinking club has a soccer problem.....

flat out mate! Another lot of points weve let slip

Had our fair share of the play & chances yeterday but unfortuantly gave away a silly goal late on. Even after we were down we still created chances to score but credit to Chris & co they played well at home & got the required luck on the day, thats football. Still there was alot of positivies we can take from the game & we aint out of it yet

Move onto Fulham @ home & a good chance for us to get back on track with a game against the Downs on the horizon.
Been in this league long enough to know it aint even close to being over & 5 points between the top 5 is not alot with each other still to play!
dont think its been this close in years at the half way mark :?:
DO YOU HAVE A BOOK CALLED 101 EXUSES FOR LOSING A GAME? If not you should write one.
just lend him your's LRO..you must have one...3 losses 1 draw 1 win from the last 5 games..?

What a FK wit thing to say about another club as chairman of your club Jay, this forum is mostly tounge in cheek stuff but to write sh*t about our club like that on this forum Jay FK you!!!

Like ALL clubs including YOURS some of our supporters bring there own drinks to games for one reason or another but most dont !!!

but to say our club have a reputation for it, how the FK would INGLE FARM know you've only been in the 1st Division for a few years WANKER!!!
nugget if you read properly he was giving you guys credit for proving that your club isn't what some other clubs portray you as. Yes you do have a reputation of being a club that does the BYO...... but well done to all the Gardens supporters Sunday for showing they are not what others make them out to be. Please don't try and analyze this post either nugget just do everyone a favour and smile and nod. Ta. By the way thanks to Danny Riding for the first touch advice when through on goal I will have to remember that when I head down your way later in the year.
