SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
Went for a stroll to the Iggies Vs Vipers today, hoping to gobble down the world famous "Wolf Burger" and may I say I was extrememly dissapointed. Not only did I NOT find my Wolf Burger, I didn't find ANY food or drinks on sale. Such a shame, I didn't see anything at all for sale, no signs, no nothing. I wondered if I was even at the Iggies ground and confirmed that I was. Anyway, I politely asked a gentleman after the reserves game wearing an Iggies strip whether there was a bar there and he said NO.
My advice would be for any person wishing to pay a visit, Grab a bite and stop by the Arkaba Bottlo first, you will not regret it. Maybe the Financial Crisis has something to do with it?? Oh well, I suppose the place is adjacent to a Mental Hospital.

When there are only two teams at home, we don't have a BBQ. Unfortunately with our players and volunteers spread far and wide, we don't have much option. There was one OISC spectator for our B grade game this afternoon.Wolfman wrote:Went for a stroll to the Iggies Vs Vipers today, hoping to gobble down the world famous "Wolf Burger" and may I say I was extrememly dissapointed. As usual the BBQ will be pumping and the wolf burgers flowing!! Also, great bar prices and ample parking all around.

The USUAL is to have more than 2 teams at home.

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
No food or beverages at the game is disappointing. overall it was a shit day, poor ground to say the least, shit performance by the vipers. Shoulve stayed in the house all day. Wolfburger - big bullshit my suggestion is to buy food and drinks before you head down to Mudville.

You were warned about the pitch. You were given the opportunity to switch the game, you declined!Veggos wrote:No food or beverages at the game is disappointing. overall it was a cabernet day, poor ground to say the least, cabernet performance by the vipers. Now stop whingeing (like you apparently did all day) and take your beating like a man.

crue head you are credit to your club with that comment, unlike veggos and wolfman who are making you look like a bunch of whingeing muppets with nothing better to complain about.crue head wrote:We'll take the loss and work hard to turn it around.
To all Vipers players: I hope Crue Head is more a typical of your club than the other 2 muppets.

No indication of where the toilets were? oh yeah try reading the second post of the topic?God is an Englishman wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:try reading the second post on the forum, then take a lesson from crue head.
Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
At the club I used to play at, it only took person to whip up a BBQ and sell beers. I guess the wolf burger demands a dedicated team.Kitchimo wrote:There was one OISC spectator for our B grade game this afternoon.

Did you try the big building that had the changing rooms and club rooms in them? If not, did you try the building next to them that had a sign on it, saying "toilets"?
Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
Yes as a spectator I did try the big buildings but they were locked. But I was secretly looking for the wolf burger.God is an Englishman wrote:

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
you used to ask a spectator to run the bbq and sell beers. Poor bastard turns up to watch a game and gets made to sell beers. Glad I never turned up to watch them.Wolfman wrote:At the club I used to play at, it only took person to whip up a BBQ and sell beers. I guess the wolf burger demands a dedicated team.
Oh and yes, it does take a team to create the masterpiece known as a "Wolf Burger".

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
what about the building beside it with a sign marked on it saying "TOILETS". All the changing rooms also have toilets in them and they would have been open.Wolfman wrote:Yes as a spectator I did try the big buildings but they were locked. Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
All a wolf wants is his burger. If you can't round up a dedicated group of 'chefs' to deliver, you should postpone the game.
Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
All bullshit aside, i was actually looking forward to sampling a wolfburger.
However, as you guys were short on cooking staff etc. it was a no-go, which is fair enough that's the decision you guys made.
Credit where credit is due, the wolf burger is known amongst other teams, which can only be a good thing for your takings.

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
There was no toilet sign near the game pitch. Does it measure 10mm x 10mm??
As far as change rooms go where were they? Theres 3-4 big buildings there and no obvious signs of where I could take a crap.

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
Bit like the Zinger Meal at KFC, It would be a shame to walk into the place and not find it!
Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
For god's sake did you ask someone at the game? By rights there should be a club official in a bright yellow vest saying SAASL official or something (can't remember the exact wording), but surely you could have asked someone.Wolfman wrote:There was no toilet sign near the game pitch. It doesn't matter anyway. The nearest tree did the job.
But for gods sake, No wolf burger!!

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
I also was hanging for one of these Wolfburgers.
Sadly i didnt return to your esky to buy any grog for the rest of the day as i was told that i bought the last 2 Heinekens.
This was 10 mins into A's game.

Re: SO WHERE WAS THE WOLF BURGER??
Building right behind that pitch, closest one to the pitch itself as you were using (I presume) the small pitch. As for the size, it's a little bit bigger than 10mm because it fits my head on it. You were told that our pitch was unplayable, we tried to switch the ground, so stop complaining when we have to use an alternative pitch.Wolfman wrote:There was no toilet sign near the game pitch.
