Sat Div 5:

St Peters 0 - 1 Sturt Marion

Close match all day, could have gone either way, Sturt took their chance and held on for a great result. Sturt go top by a point with the reverse fixture next week, should be another good match.

A's Cup
BOSA 4 - Budapest 0
Score very flattering to Budapest who were really outclassed all across the park. Credit to Budapest for working hard all day to make it hard for BOSA. The Budapest goalkeeper is the funniest man in the league (unintentionally), cracked me up all day with his antics.

B's BOSA 2 - Raptors 0
We were very complacent in the first half and were quite lucky to go into the break 1 - 0 up. Second half was much better and we capitalised to take the game. They are not a bad side and we were pushed for the whole game.

Div 5
BOSA 4 - 2 Not sure who

A's cup

Mod Jets 1-3 Gardens
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

Parafield Gardens 3
Modbury Jets ASC 1

 Rubbish game to watch as a neutral. :D Good to see Chemical Brother up to his usual antics, neither team looked like a Division 1 side, good finish to grab the first goal for both teams and Parafield's third was a nice header. Both sides almost seemed dis-interested toward the end of the game. Certainly not a game to rate Saturday league vs Sunday league. Young Parafield lad that grabbed two goals was very good and Jets number 10 was the better player for the Jets side. :D

A little dissapointing to see both clubs supporters bringing their own alcahol instead of using the facilities provided. :(

Adelaide Uni vs Mt Barker Div 3
A Game 3-2 to Uni, coming from 2-0 down at half time

B Game 3-3 draw with a very strange club referee who didn't know what time the game started, played the halves too long and made many a strange decision.

Watched Jets v Gardens. Not what I was hoping for. I concur with Total 90's synopsis of the match of the quality of Jet's No.10. Gardens the cup holders are through.

Some good matches tomorrow. Fulham v Inter the pick I'd say.

SPOC 2 - 1 Burrundi Eagles (match abandoned)

SPOC were tested all the way against a very nippy and agile Eagles side. Although th result was never really in doubt, the Eagles were a tough opposition today. It was a bit funny watching the first half as our played were very unco!!! But the SPOC sides quality certainly ended up showing through in the end.

Inregards to the abandonment, basically a penatly that was awarded in the 89th minutes was taken... saved.. and the ref brought it back as a player had encroached into the box.. then an 'official' stormed onto the pitch to tell the ref that the penalty will not be replayed and a corner will be awarded :D .... then the supporters joined in the protest on the pitch... then the ref called the game off.. then he went away quickly....

Hopefully not too much comes of it but a fine...... because it was silly from their supporters as there was only one minute left!!!!

Cup Rd 2

Adelaide Wanderers 4 Macedonia 1 (pen)

With a number of desperate clearances off the line, Macedonia were lucky not to be 7 or 8 down at the break. In the second half, the home side took the foot off the pedal but still had the lion share of possession. Wanderers conceded a penalty that just scraped through after a defender handballed on the line to receive a red card for his effort.

The Macedonian keeper seemed to have broken his foot at the end of the match and waited over half an hour for an ambulance - can anyone from the club confirm he's alright..?

I saw some of this game and left with the score at 1:1. A scrappy game. A bad day at the office for Saints...? (shrug)

Disagree with everything Total 90 :clown:

Can't speak for Gardens but know the Jets did not bring their own alcohol  Maybe your referring to 'other' clubs who attended the match and BYO :!:

Jets No.10 was Ok but No.14 was by far the best player for the Jets on the day

Not the best game i've seen either side play but Gardens were the better team on the day and got the result they deserved.

Hi Monkey Boy!

Impressive result really for the Burundi boys against a very strong opposition. What do you think of them? Anything you can share on or about their team which may help us in the next couple of weeks for our top of the table clash??

Reserve Cup

Old Ignatians 6 - 1 Gleeson

Thought the game would be much harder. We scored after 30 seconds. Apparently they had 3 regular first team players who weren't cup tied, but we had two and a guy that has also recently signed for us who will play first team.

Div 6

Old Ignatians 4 - 2 Flinders Uni

Flinders were previously top, and were 0-2 up after half an hour.

I think it is a bit of an oxymoron to call ANY B team 'regular', as all B teams aren't. Ours definitely isn't !

The Cup is different to the League. You have to put your best team on the park to win it. We didn't stack our Reserves in the 1st Round of the Cup, nor our Cs. It just worked out that two A players couldn't play in the game on the Sunday in the first round.

It should please you that despite our A/C/D teams not playing, our Es beat Flinders with a regular line-up.

Yeah they are a typical African side. As they were warming up I thought it was carnivale!!! They just seem to really enjoy their football, playing a very free flowing type of game and constantly trying to turn you inside out. But they were quite disciplined and do actually play some long balls up to their two tall forwards. They also play a fair bit through the middle, with some neat tricks and flicks. Might see you today at the East game, which number were you??

Southern Breakers 0 Adelaide Villa 10
Great pitch to play on, a lot better than last years market garden.
Was disappointing to be told by the ref at the end of the game that half their 'A' team were playing, we travel all the way from Port Elliot to be completely outplayed and have our noses rubbed into the dirt by a team of Div 1 players who showed no respect for our young kids and elder players too, by whinging at every decision that didn't go their way, bagging the linesman and being cocky about what the score was.
Sour grapes, you bet we are.
