RONALDO to REAL MADRID
Starting this topic off now.
Alfredo Relaño, who is the director of AS and works on Cadena Ser and who is one of the most reliable blokes in the business has just published an article where he says that Florentino has decided to go ahead with the deal Calderon had signed with Cristiano before the end of the month and that Cristiano will be our second signing.
The deal is 89m, but according to Florentino, he would get back that money from publicity in just one year.
http://www.as.com/opinion/articulo/flor ... iopi_1/Tes
If Relaño says such a statement, im pretty sure its true because he doesnt usually talk about such things unless he had proof of what he's talking about. He is probably the most sensible bloke in the business and doesnt get carried away with rumours.
Also, the front page of Marca for tomorrow has quotes from Man U director saying that if Florentino wants Cristiano he has to pay 96m euros which confirms there IS a buyout clause. The price is 80m pounds, which is approx 89m plus 5m in commissions.
If this is on the front page of Marca on the same day Relaño from AS says Florentino is going to pay the buyout clause, it looks pretty clear to me.
This could be the best signing since Zidane!!!!
If Kaka can earn us 75m per year in marketing, just imagine what Cristiano could give us. As he says, the most expensive players are the cheapest.
Also, they say that Florentino wants to do the deal as soon as possible so that Cristiano can have is hernia operation and be back as soon as possible for the preseason.
just look at the flack we have had for signing Kaka for the price we did. If we go out and spend 80 MPs for Ronaldo the entire world is going to hate us.
It would be AWESOME! Florentino knows what he's doing when it comes to money. If he thinks it's alright then it's alright. Villa wouldn't even be necessary if Kaka and Ronaldo were brought in.
I have a feeling that Valdano, Pardeza and Perez are planning this for next season...
---Ronaldo----Kaka----Ribery---
----------------Villa-----------------
Mind boggling. not going to get too sucked into this yet.
But let the Ronaldo transfer and rumours begin.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
And this guarantees you what apart from money?
Definitely not trophies.
You have a good keeper, but Ramos is hardly a good defender, pepe is suspended for another 7 games, Cannavaro gone, Marcelo is a winger, so who will play at the back??
gago is no makelele, cambiasso or mascherano and diarra is still unproven.
so you will lose games 5-4 and still be happy??

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
I thought they were looking at Vidic for the backline and a few other players.
Ferguson must be getting right pissed off at the moment with all this talk of half his team disappearing.
Especially considering Ribery and benzema both want to play in Spain.
Maybe this will show that money in England isn't as good as everyone thinks it is.
We'll see i guess.
ps: Cambiasso is a gun, and I think mascherano is excellent. Thing is i reckon he'd go to Barca before Real. That's if porky pig wants to sell him in the first place.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
i will believe this rumour, when Ronaldo is presented holding a white real top!
Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
I'd like to know why all this Judas rubbish...............
It's not like Milan got nothing from it... in fact they just got shitloads of money and can now go and buy other players... Maybe if they actually gave Ancelotti some money to spend over the last few years he'd still be able to do what he did when he started with them, and then maybe Kaka` wouldn't want to leave.
I don't think Kaka` has done anything wrong. It's not like he was only there for one season. He's been there from 2003, he's won just about everything, how is this different from Ronaldo or anyone else moving on? ( i'm actually asking this because i can't see what's gotten everyone so angry..)

As for the Kaka is Judas...the guy sacrificed his personal desires so that Milan can continue and stabilise their economic situation...the guy is the JESUS of Milan. Without him Milan would have gone so far under.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
Maicon is our main target for defence, along with Albiol. The things his agent is coming out and saying at the moment show anything but certainty that he will be at Inter next season.
Marcano from Racing is also another option as Pellegrini has interest in him.
Garay will return.
and we are in the market for a LB. Notably Clichy.
right now i am hoping for this lineup next season.

--Maicon----Ramos-----Pepe----Clichy--
---------------------------------------
----------Lass----Alonso/Felipe Melo----
----------------------------------------
---Ronaldo-------Kaka----------Ribery---

although would be extremely happy with this backline... Ramos - Pepe - Albiol - Clichy
We have all of July to sort out defence.

It would be great to see Ronaldo at Real Madrid next season even though I'm a Barca fan. We can compare Messi and Ronaldo every week!

Florentino Perez Ready To Bring Cristiano Ronaldo To Real Madrid – Reports
The 'Godfather of the Galactico' dynasty is about to launch his assault to bring a second mega-star to the Bernabeu…
After successfully completing the €65 million capture of Kaka from AC Milan, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is now ready to initiate a plan of attack to snare Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, despite previously stating that it would be economically impossible to sign the two Ballon d’Or winners in the same summer.
While los Blancos’ worldwide fans were anxiously waiting throughout the whole of last week for official confirmation of Kaka’s move to the Santiago Bernabeu, Perez was busy talking up his admiration for the Red Devil as well as asserting, more than once, that he would do whatever he could to lure Ronaldo to the Spanish capital.
AS has reported that the Casa Blanca boss is finally ready to execute the pre-contract agreement with Ronaldo, which was put in place by ex-president Ramon Calderon around this time last year, and pay out the €89 million clause stipulated in the deal. Madrid, however, will have only until June 30 to complete the transaction, or they will risk paying a €30 million penalty for breaking the contract.
The paper also suggests that Perez has already begun conversations with United chief executive David Gill and manager Sir Alex Ferguson to discuss the possibility of reducing the transfer fee, although club owner Malcolm Glazer has reportedly shot down the proposal.
Perez, unlike Calderon, has maintained a good relationship with his United counterparts since the days of the G-14 group. And interestingly enough, the Spanish press have pointed out that over the past few weeks, when rumours of Ronaldo’s move to Madrid started to intensify, the outspoken Ferguson has not said anything to the media about the matter.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
There is a big difference in the financial positions of AC Milan and Man U. Ronaldo ain't going anywhere whilst Sir Alice is manager, they don't care about money, they care about # 19.

How can Kaka be Judas?? Milan were going to offload him to Man city in January. It was clear he wanted to stay but the club wanted to cash in while he's still valuable.diegom wrote:Scudetto8687 wrote:So did Kaka.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
Maicon was a while ago, I'd prefer Albiol and Clichy...although it seems that Clichy won't be moving, i'm sure Marcelo will continue to grow, we have to be patient with him. Albiol is a key figure though he MUST be signed. The pursuit of Ribery and Xabi Alonso is all but over, maybe the season after next. Anyway if the reports about Madrid and Manchester having an agreement in place over Ronaldo and Florentino wanting to go forward with that deal then we don't really need Ribery. I think all the news about Marcano is rubbish, he'll stay at Racing or move somewhere else but not Madrid. Fingers crossed our line up will look like this next season.

I don't think that report is true, I think that the Catalan press built it up during the game with Bayern, especially after he traded shirts and was so friendly with the Barca players but I highly doubt anything would have been concluded.BAGGIO 15 wrote:Barca still have the first option for Ribery.

Barcelona Retain First Option On Bayern Munich's Ribery - Report
Franck Ribery is wanted by numerous clubs, but it appears that the European champions have the upper hand...
Barcelona are playing a waiting game over Franck Ribery, but are calm in the knowledge that they have first option on the player and a verbal agreement with his agent, according to a report.
The Blaugrana struck the deals when they played Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the Champions League last season and the player expressed his desire to move to Camp Nou.
No official bid has been lodged, but Barca are preparing a deal that could see Ribery join their ranks before the end of June, El Mundo Deportivo state.
A verbal deal between Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and his Catalan counterpart Joan Laporta gives Barcelona the upper hand on Real Madrid, who are also interested.
Ribery is said to be under pressure from Zinedine Zidane to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but his friendship with Thierry Henry and the numerous other French speakers at Barca has the stronger pull.
Barcelona have put other transfers on hold on until they have sorted out who will play as their central striker next term, but with a deal appearing to be agreed for Zlatan Ibrahimovic that could soon be solved.
In the meantime, the European champions have an agreement with Bayern to be told of any interest or offer that comes in for Ribery so that they can match it.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
Yeh I read the report, I just think it's a load of tripe. Bayern have said they don't want to sell, whether it's a ploy by Bayern I don't know but if we get Ronaldo we don't really need him anyway, Ronaldo is younger and he's considerably better, considerably more expensive as well yes but more marketable so by signing Ronaldo he'll probably pay for himself and pay for Ribery.BAGGIO 15 wrote:Barcelona Retain First Option On Bayern Munich's Ribery - Report
