Relatively close to the keeper who ought to have got more on it, but a good strike nevertheless.

As mentioned above BOSA 2 - 2 Adelaide Villa (3 -1).

Two very competitive matches by clubs that do play relatively similar styles of football with both teams going hard at the ball and playing some very attractive passing moves. The first team result was probably a fair result although as Diegom mentioned the referee had a shocker. He was inconsistent throughout the game and made decisions that were far beyond my immagination. One unfortunately provided Villa a penalty with 5 minutes to go and BOSA leading 2-1. After a scramble in the box, with Villa unlucky not to score, the ball came out of the penalty area. A Bosa player and Villa player went hard at the ball with the Villa player going to ground with a lunging tackle to try and win the ball. The ref called a free kick to Bosa only to change his mind 5 seconds later and award a penalty. Weird! I don't know what foul his was calling as the ball was definately out of the box.

Well it is just the result that St Peters wanted and thanks to the Ref they got what they asked for. As I said before we can't really complain about the result but more about how it came about. It is a shame to see a match spoiled by an official. He is also the same guy that sent our keeper off against Wanderers for a fair challenge. Hopefully we don't get him for anymore important matches.

Good result for our B's closing the top of the table down. All we need now is Villa, ourselves and some other teams to get points off of Stirling.

Hahndorf 0 Adelaide Cougars 2 (a)
Hahndorf 1 Adelaide Cougars 3 (b)

Another great day out for our club. 2 great wins from both our sides showing that we can match it with the better sides in the comp. Hahndorf are always a hard side to beat at their home ground.
2 remarkable goals, one from David Modesti (DAISY!!) in the first half and a sublime shot from Nicholas Lalli in the second, which almost tore the net down sealed it for the side from the western suburbs... another game closer to the Burundi Eagles.

2 great goals from Sandro Simone and another from Ang Thanos was enough to take the points in the ressies game. Hahndorf never even looked close in that encounter.

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OUR SIDES NEXT WEEK IN THE NEXT ROUND OF THE CUP

PS: Hope your getting better Ross.... stay at home, none of us want to catch the swine flu

you mean good result for u lol

we had 3 of our regular starters missing so was always going to be a big task, a lot of wasted chances again but the simba players did show a lot of fight

im happy our first team is back to its best, hope they can keep up the team spirit which was missing for the first 5 weeks of the season

I certainly don't want to start a witch hunt on this ref. He is actually a nice bloke off of the field. He unfortunately has made some bad decisions against us this season and overall had a bad day yesterday. I'd prefer not to name him.

As a neutral observer to the game, Bosa & Villa, what a crap game to watch. Couldn't string 2 passes together on that crap pitch. Villa should have won that game. Bosa had two chances in the second half and scored one. You sit there criticising the ref, who mind you is one of the best ref's going around for a few mistakes that he did that were NONE game defining decisions.
The penalty was clear as i was behind the goals. The ref had made the initial mistake of pointing the wrong way, but it definetly was a penalty. Poor form from BOSA linesman to sit there and tell the ref otherwise.
Ref's make mistakes as do players so don't come on here and say that he had a shocker, just look at your own team first, who played crap. And why would u leave Abraham on the bench for a game like that. Tactic of Scardigno maybe?
And no the ref is not related or a friend of mine. Seen him ref many times and has been exceptional.

Totally agree 100%! I played in the game yesterday and he is one of the best referees going round. Very approachable before during and after the game and a nice bloke to top it off.......nice if we all stopped whinging for a change and worried about our own game!!! I must say that up to RD 8 most refs have been great except the old bloke who we had against Modbury and Wanderers who's just past it now but in saying that he's not the worst ref i've ever seen!!! Ref standard 8/10 so far this year IMO.

I am not going to comment on your take on the game but you do make me laugh when you say a neutral observer. The previous comments that you have made about Phil would clearly not put you into a neutral category. What ever previous issues you have had with Phil are in the past mate. Perhaps you should grow up and move on.

Bodes - one, i have nuthing against Phil. He has NEVER coached me before. So i don't give a rats about him in any way. In last posts, i was sticking up for a mate, and what others have said about him that have played under him. I have a few friends that play for BOSA first team so i have nuthing against BOSA.
Yesterday, your team outplayed Villa in the first 25 min, then villa just started to play better. Simple as that. Didn't say BOSA are crap or hate them at all. They are actually a not bad side. So stop putting words into other peoples mouths and as for growing up, don't want to, wish i was still 20yrs old :D

I have no desire to get into an argument with you and as I said in my initial post the result of the match was probably fair if not quite lucky. It certainly wasn't the best we have played this year and with last weeks result at Modbury we need to lift our game back to previous weeks performances. What I do find strange is your desire to bag Phil every time you make comment about BOSA. I am not putting words into anybodys mouth, more just quoting previous messages. If it was just protecting your mate that is fair enough but perhaps in future you should reserve those comments. It was good to see Luis yesterday and it is good to see he is enjoying himself at your club, he is a nice guy and a very good player. Come and say g'day next time you are at BOSA and we can have a beer.
