The team has had a bad run with injury's and illness (prob knee recon, broken toe, couple of quad tears, flu gone thru as well. With the way the game times have changed around this year and the fact that the 14's are in div D made it very difficult to bring players up. So the short answer is yes they have played under manned and on 1 unfortunate occasion had to forfeit. Its no myth but that's football hey!

This week will be the first time since round 1 that they have had a full team and they are still confident they can take a few points of teams above them to make an intersting 2nd half to the season and you never know they may close the gap enough to make survival possible.

Seems Gawler are having just as bad a run as West Adelaide. When the 2 teams met,Gawler definetely had 11 men on the field just as West Adelaide did.Dont know about Gawlers injury status but West Adelaide had 3 boys overseas and 2 boys injured at the time.Interesting to see the result of their next encounter at Wests ground.Goodluck to both teams

You are dead right 1908 Gawler did have 11 on the park that day. Every team has their share of injury's, Gawler is no different to other teams out there just get on with it.

I have seen Gawler U15's play and i have discovered that they are not a very bad team and they most certainley dont deserve to be down the bottom of the table!
Gawler have just had a lot of injuries from broken toes to pulled groins! when this team has a full squad they will be a very hard team to beat :!: :!:

Apparently they picked up 2 lads and then one left while the other stayed i believe they were both from E&D.

they also had a huge injury crisis.

They lost 2 players and picked up 2 players, one was from E&D who has done his knee and is out for season, the other lad who they picked up was from a fed club and he broke his toe and has just come back over the last few weeks. As I've said before they pick up injuries and illnesses over the season just like every other team in the JPL no different

So how was the game against Croydon?

Were you guys undermanned again or have Croydon achieved the improvement they have been looking for...or maybe a bit of both?
