Modbury came behind to win this game and should be very proud of there efforts
On another matter, last weekend I witnessed another team placing a players name on the team sheet after the game had finished...the referee has noted on the team sheet that the player was not on the team sheet and therefore has wrote it on all copies of the team sheet...also there were two players with the same name and number, and same registration number...what is the ruling with this situation....
The FFSA Rules and Regulations state:
Unregistered, Ineligible and Suspended Players
(1) No player shall play in any competition conducted by the FFSA or any Affiliated Association or
in any match authorised by the FFSA or any Affiliated Associations unless he/she is registered
with the FFSA and he/she has been issued with a registration number by the FFSA.
(2) If, in any match, a club plays an unregistered player, a player who is not registered with it or a
player who is ineligible for a particular match or period, or a player whose registration has been
suspended:
(a) the club shall forfeit the match to its opponent which shall be deemed to have won the
match by a score of three goals to nil,
(b) if the match was played in a league competition, the points awarded to the club in the
competition shall be reduced by the number of points awarded for a win in the
competition,
(c) the club shall be fined the prescribed amount for each unregistered player who played in
the match, and
(d) if the player is a registered player, the FFSA may suspend or cancel the player's
registration.
(3) In this Clause, "the prescribed amount" means -
(a) in respect of a senior team, a level 2 fine, and
(b) in respect of other teams as determined by the FFSA..
Ring-Ins (Playing players under assumed or false names)
(1) If a club knowingly or willingly plays a player in any match under a false or assumed
name:
(a) the Club shall be deemed guilty of serious misconduct,
(b) the Club shall forfeit the match to its opponent which shall be deemed to have won the
match by a score of three goals to nil,
Football Federation South Australia 2009.
(c) if the match was played in a league competition, the points awarded to the Club in the
competition shall be reduced by the number of points awarded for a win in the
competition, and
(d) the Club shall be liable to such further penalty as the FFSA, or the committee it appoints
to hear the matter, may determine.
(2) The player and any club official or member who knowingly or willingly authorised a player
to play in a match under a false or assumed name shall be liable to such penalty as the
FFSA or the committee it appoints to hear the matter, may determine.
