from my view...
Stephen Hopper - Brilliant Striker, Great Speed, Fantastic Vision
Aaron Feeney - Only 15 this year...star of Modbury...great cross...played 19's this yr...look out for this boy..
Adam Stokes - Another Modbury Boy....Great Defender with speed and strength...
Keeper For Adelaide City...Dont Know The Lads Name...Great Keeper....

Best Players
Well definatly Adam Stokes for Modbury Jets he has speed power and commitment all of which he can use perfectly.
Luke Stubbs is up there but not the best for U17. He also has speed and can use his body, maybe to much. He can put an excellent cross in but is not a shooter.
The striker for Campeltown is an excellent player. From what i have seen there is deffinatly potential but he also does hogg the ball.
There are so many to choose from, a lot of very good players in this league none really stand out over others

Every team has good players that play their positions well.
Being a team sport I find it difficult to try and choose the best individual player for any one team this year.
This might sound a little biased but the thing that stood out this year and in my opinion helped us win the title is the Campbelltown defence including the keeper.
They conceded only 14 goals in 18 games and 4 of those games were played with 10 men against quality opposition (Adelaide City, Para Hills, Strikers and Modbury.) usually with more than 20 mins left to play.
An outstanding effort when you consider that 2 of the back 4 have never played in defence before. (One was last years U17b keeper and the other played midfield.
Our strikers must score and they do regularily, the midfielders control the centre and feed forwards and wingers and they do, but if your defence is suspect and letting through easy goals the TEAM will struggle to win.
Great effort to ALL Campbelltown U17 boys and coach.
Overall I have seen some great players playing U17a this season and all teams should be proud of the talent they have and hopefully we will see these players playing for their senior team in the near future.
Good luck to all the boys for next year.

a good player is made by a good team and a consitent team . a team may have a better player than the rest , but if the rest of the team dont pull there weight the player who is better has it harder , thats why campbelltown won the title as it has 16 consitent players with the ability to lift and cover players . same as croydon u15a .

Luke Stubbs
gd player i suppose...bit cocky...
i feel sorry for players in the 16's who could own the 17's leauge.....Ryan Thurstans for Modbury for example...he played 19's..
i think the keeper from adel city actually plays 15's, i went to see them a few weeks bak....
i think stokes (backing up wat i said) is one of the best defenders around at the moment...
When i went to see blue eagles v south adelaide (i think) , south had a really tall bloke up front that caused problems all day... does anyone know of him?? [/quote]

i think the striker from campbelltown city hes the small one.
hes small but is not afraid to use his body against bigger opponents.
he gets stuk into it and dosent fear anyone
Congratulations to Campbelltown on there clinching of the u/17A title.
in my opinion they were the team that deserved it most.
if adel city took out the title we would've never heard the end of it
it was great game between strikers and the reds.
2-1 at 1/2 time it stayed like that until the end of the game
strikers recieved a penalty which in my opinion was there to be given
and the keeper pulled off one of the saves of the season in my mind
anyway congratulations and enjoy ur prize
and does anyone know if the league champions from each age group and division get some sort of presentation day thats wat has been happening in the past is it gonna happen this year.

If the subject is "best u17 any div" ........ then we have overlooked the "best u17 any div" ............. there are 3 or 4 players in this age group playing 1st Team and many more playing U23's.
Playing u17's at the age of 17 shows you can play at that level, it's when players exceed thier age group and can handle the pressure and physical aspect.

Peter Deleonadis is his name and he's a good reader of the game, knows where the goals are!wtf wrote:i think the striker from campbelltown city hes the small one.

[Does the FFSA record goal scorers?]
They've got all the score sheets for the season, so they could tally up the scorers for each club in all the divisions. We should know who is the top striker ( golden U17 boot ) for the season.
Let the FFSA know that we are interested in this stat.
