Goalkeeper for Knights made save after save after save from what i seen Grove had 75% of play just couldnt find the net and once again 3 errors cost 3 goals!
I can remember names from 41 years ago but sometimes I have trouble remembering what happened yesterday.
Plus, looking at the viewfinder sometimes you can miss the finer details.
As for Grove having 75% of the game it reminds me of a famous line from the movie the Castle.
"Tell em they're dreaming."

Im a neutral supporter just pick a game close to home and watch it and i would definately say that Elizabeth Grove dominated the game just couldnt score and it didnt help that the defence gave the Knights there 3 goals. Will probably watch the Grove again this week will be i fiery game against Munno Para maybe i should stop going iv watched them twice and they have lost both to Knights and Vikings.

funny i saw a lot of one-two's catch you guys out on the counter and a first goal by dejioia hit hard and low from just inside the box across the path of the keeper.Trevor's was a tap in from a parried shot. and dejioia's second much like his first.A's 3 - 2
Take out the first 30 minutes and it was a very close tight game. Unfortunately we didn't show up until we were 3 nil down. Florina broke through with a couple of long balls and scored a scrappy first goal, and tap in second goal and a goal mouth half tap in, half scramble. After that, we shut down their midfield better and created more run but it took until the second half to find a goal. Florina tired in the last 15 and we just didnt capitalise on enough chances to scrap a draw. Really disappointing result for us given what happened last week.

Just for there sake really! Would be good to have another Elizabeth team in Div 1 though then i would be able to watch Div 1 almost every week

& send off.. come on! Thats Matty Peace who we all know & expect nothing less from him when coming off his line. He had the ball in both hands before he collected the striker
Yellow was given on reputation.
But do agree the ref was the best ive had in a long time, let the game flowed & this allowed for a good fair game. Just didnt think the 2nd disallowed goal was a right decision by him tho but thats just IMO

Funnily enough goalkeepers are there to stop teams from scoring so if you can't get the ball past them more than the opposition gets the ball past your keeper you lose. Unless the defence actually scores own goals the opposition still has to put errors away.Scrumdidliumpcious wrote:Im a neutral supporter just pick a game close to home and watch it and i would definately say that Elizabeth Grove dominated the game just couldnt score and it didnt help that the defence gave the Knights there 3 goals. I witnessed patches of domination from both teams and ~ 50-50 possesion, Grove just had more long range shots and crosses into the box.......
Division 2 is fairly balanced with every team having lost 2 or more games. Knights and Grove have both lost 3 games each !

must agree the refs have worn a bit of flack the last two - three years and they have been quite good this year. we had one which was a newbie who was good and found they have tended to let the game flow better and wait till the play has stopped to have a talk to a player.haywood djablowme wrote: But do agree the ref was the best ive had in a long time, let the game flowed & this allowed for a good fair game.

A's 2-3

Florina broke through with a couple of long balls and scored a scrappy first goal, and tap in second goal and a goal mouth half tap in, half scramble. B's 4-1
The B's are getting their mojo back after a slow start. Knocked the ball around nicely and created plenty of chances. We went 1 nil down early but from their looked in control. Florina had some chances but we dominated possession and eventually over ran them. Cam Hawkins played very well and a couple of the kids from the C's got some more time and didn't look out of place.
C's 0-3
Only had 12 players and we really struggled the create many chances. I thought we knocked the ball around well but really didn't put enough shots on goal. We made a couple of mistakes and Florina punished us. Hopefully the A's and B's get some players back so we can get a couple and some of the guys who were out this week are available.
Dad's Army 8-2
I think Steve Pat scored 4 to have a big win over the Grove.
Cheers to Florina for putting on the BBQ after the game. Good to see Azza been involved in the club, he was there refereeing the second half of the C's and watched as much as he could of the B's. Cheers to Prez and Uncle Cracker for the drinks and good luck for the rest of the year.
Well done to Gardens for knocking off Westies. It keeps the season very much alive and interesting.

I got three broken ribs in cup semi final against Ingle farm in a similar incident, keeper got nothing & neither should he have,
Matty had every right to go for the ball... to call for a penalty or a red card is soft... HARDEN THE FK UP!
As for being a fruit cake which rock you been hiding under!
Peacey is a great keeper & has had a great start to the year conceeding the least goals in the Premier League to date,
He's a awesome bloke to have between the posts & around the club...

i agree nugget i have seen peacey playing for the vale and take out his own team mate and break his collar bone in pursuit of the ball, it was a accident of course but it was a contest and while your in the air you need to protect yourself somehow, its not just because he's dirty if he doesn't and the player follows thru he can easily be tunneled and hurt himself, can't wait for the next parafield vs vale game

when matty peace played with us that was his signature move, just before the player comes jump take it at chest with his knees up to protect himself, letting the forward know don't bother..if the player is gonna contest that good luck..
very smart move..can't book it look at the player in rugby when he takes the mark from a long bomb, they take it the same way..

I played up front that day & had just scored & I was pumped, it was windy as hell our boy's were playing long balls.
A 50/50 ball was put through I chased it down full steem your keeper just got to it 1st,
I turned my back to pull out of the contest becuse I was allready on a yellow & the keeper put his knee up, broke 3 of my ribs.
Like I said the keeper had every right to protect himself, I had every right to chase the ball down!!!
It was very similar to sunday the forward chased the ball, keeper got to the ball 1st forward got hurt sh It happens
If I had my time again I would have protected myself cleaned up your keeper & coped the RED!!!
