Spanish kings Barcelona lose before Champions League final
come on man unitedddddddddd tonite.......
FRESHLY crowned Spanish champions Barcelona prepared for next week's Champions League showdown with Manchester United by suffering their second successive league loss.
Saturday's 1-0 reverse at Osasuna came on the back of last week's defeat to Real Mallorca, but it came as coach Pep Guardiola rested a clutch of his first team players.
Barcelona are sitting on 86 points with only one league game to go, which means they cannot beat Real Madrid's record points haul of 92 achieved in the 1996/97 season.
But victory at Deportivo La Coruna next weekend will give them a share of Atletico Madrid's record of 14 away wins in a season.
Barca lost out to a 26th minute goal from Osasuna's Pandiani.
With just four days before the Rome meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson's United, Barca were missing Lionel Messi with Xavi and Victor Valdes on the bench. Samule Eto'o was replaced half an hour from the end.
Real Madrid are in action tomorrow against Mallorca.
Behind those two, Sevilla, with a last minute 1-0 win over Deportivo, ensured third place and their place in next season's Champions League.
The fight for fourth spot, which ensures a berth in the Champions League qualifying round, is between Atletico Madrid and Villarreal.
Atletico crushed Athletic Bilbao 4-1 thanks to Diego Forlan's hat-trick.
The Uruguayan is now the league's top scorer with 31 goals, with Eto'o on 29.
Villarreal beat Valencia 3-1 to keep themselves in the hunt for a place in Europe.
At the other end of the table, Recreativo Huelva and Numancia will both be playing in the second division next season after respectively losing to Racing Santander and Getafe.

Dont be suprised if United go down the same path.
I dropped Rooney and Vidic from my dream team because I doubt very much if Sir Alex will play them against Hull. Hull will give it there all to avoid relegation.
Man U will not even try tonight and if they win it will be with their second team.
Not suprised Barcelona went down this path. Does anyone know the what the starting 11 was for Barca in their game yesterday?

As soon as I get the confirmed squad I'll post it up. I'm pretty sure that was it though, maybe I'm wrong.Total 90 wrote:KuszczakThe Joker wrote:This is the apparent

It would be a bit stupid though to play Berbatov, Tevez Park and Anderson though tbh. It doesn't mean anything (to us)

Fantastic picture none the less. Have a huge respect for Spanish football.
However, come on UNITED.

Re: Spanish kings Barcelona lose before Champions League final
This match is a perfect setting to see what Messi is made of. He is going to have to carry the attack for Barca, if Eto'o plays well too, then they have every chance of snatching this from the silver platter it is currently sitting on for Man U. Henry is Henry, week in week out, so it comes down to the other two to put on a show.Motley wrote:FOOTBALLGOD wrote:

Puyol/Pique will probably have to play the game of their lives too.
Man U should really start with Tevez and not Park, big mistake IMO, i assume it's a sympathy vote because he had to exclude Park last time.

Re: Spanish kings Barcelona lose before Champions League final
United don't deserve the Champions League this year. Barcelona play the best football the world has ever seen, forget Madrid 50's or Brazil 70's...this is it and winning the treble is good for Spanish football so....Visca el Barca. Animo desde Madrid.
