Sunday Div 2 Round 7

Post by chunky-monkey »

SAN REMO vs ISC RAPTORS - Would be good to see Raptors get their first win, but I think a draw in this one.

P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - Gully struggling now they are playing the top teams and can't see many teams going to East and getting a result. East 2 - 1

WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - Beach too strong at home for Para. Beach 3 - 0

MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Vista in good form and scoring plenty of goals but no easy games in div 2. Vista 3 - 1

ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - Knights getting so close to their first win but dont think it will be this week. A draw in my opinion.

SAN MARCO vs ISC RAPTORS - Raptors finally but i did say that last week - ISC 2-1

P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - Will be one of the better games of the round, PHE only because of home ground 2-1

WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - Beach too strong at home for Para. Beach 3 - 0

MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Vista in good form and strong at home. Vista 2-0

ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - Knights will prob get 1st win at home... Grove 2-0

P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - Gully struggling at the moment yes, but they still have the quality to beat anyone on their day. but i predict a 2-2 draw

WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - Cant say too much about West Beach cause we havent played them, but Munno Para showed good spirit in our game against them last week. 2-1 West Beach (only going by other peoples comments on WB)

MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Vista in good form and scoring plenty of goals. thought they might of dropped some games after their early season form, but it shows no signs of ending. Vista 3-1

ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - Long way to travel for Knights. Will they be affected by the travel time?? 1-1 draw

SAN MARCO vs ISC RAPTORS - Its nice to see most people wishing for us to get that first win. Yes, its overdue but like all amateur games, anything can happen on the day. We havent been totally outplayed in the last few games weve lost, its just that we havent been able to put away our chances. If we can put in a solid effort, and score some goals we should get the result we want. Raptors 8-0................ok fine, 2-0

P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - Draw 2-2
WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - WB 2 - 0
MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Vista 2-1
ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - Grove 5-2

San Marco v ISC Raptors - San Marco are good at home but how much longer can Raptors go with out getting points, 1-1

P/Hiils East v TTG - Think PHE will take the points in this one only because its at there ground

West Beach v Munno Para - It wont be easy to take points from westies ground this year but Para well be happy with a draw 2-2

Mod Vista v Vikings - You cant tip agenst Vista at home 2-0

Grove v Sthn Knight - Grove should win at home and coming of a good win last week, Grove 4-0

SAN MARCO vs ISC RAPTORS - San marco looked decent when we played them, but maybe that was a once off. Raptors seem to be around the mark, but not quite there. I think it'll be a close one. Draw for me
P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - What a game!!! Cant wait for this one. Always good to play the gully boys as you know it will always be a tough encounter. On the back of a pumping from Grove, they wont want to lose 2 in a row in this league. We will be up for it though just as much. We should do the business here, but only a goal - 1-0 or 2-1.
WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - Beach way too good here. 4-0
MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Another cracker of a game! Vikings were a quality side last week and will trouble vista. We had to be on top of our game to get the points last weekend and neither side can afford a loss at this point in the season. I'll take vikings to win this 1-3
ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - Grove should easily win this one at home.

Some great games this week. All teams want to stay with the pack and this is where injuries and squad depth start to come into play. I think things will keep tight again with top 5 playing out some tough games. Vista and Gully come into their tough patch of games as some of the other top half play the "weaker" teams, if there is any!

Good luck to all this weekend! Another cracker week to come in div2!

SAN MARCO vs ISC RAPTORS - San Marco at home against an out of form Raptors. (Keep plugging away boys, the win will soon come) 1-0
P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - East too strong at home 3-1
WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - West too strong at home 2-0
MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Vista are strong at home but expect Vikings to give them a run 3-3
ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - No problem for the Grove 2-0

Great round really when you take the current standings into consideration.

SAN MARCO vs ISC RAPTORS - San Marco for me, not as bad last week as 6-0 suggests, fought hard and tough all game
P/HILLS EAST vs TTG CITY - Close one here a draw i predict.....depends on the weather, if there is some rain about, you would be silly not to bowl first of East's Cricket pitch!!!!!!!!
WEST BEACH vs MUNNO PARA - The west beach boys will be on the piss again after this match, too strong
ELIZ GROVE vs STHN KNIGHTS - Grove by a couple
MOD VISTA vs VIKINGS - Vista, should be a good game, went and watched Vikings v Raptos a few weeks ago and was a tight battle until a dive in the box gifted a penalty, 6 goals conceeded in 6 games, cant see this moving up by much,
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!

haha.....there would be some uneven bounce, throw a quick on one end and a medium "on the spot" bowler at the other........i prefer having a bat than swinging around!!!!!! (read that carefully)

San Marco v ISC Raptors - Raptors have been no where near where they should be and are letting Mr Football down! He has kept faith and I would probably agree with him this week and say if ISC can get there head down and bum up perhaps and ugly 1-0 win or 0-0 draw could spark a run of better results (clean sheet will be the key) ISC 1-0

P/Hiils East v TTG - Two very tough teams here like I have said before there is no real home ground advantage (usually) however TTG may struggle on this wicket, Its fast and green and seam bowlers will be the key!! PHE 2-1

West Beach v Munno Para - West Beach are a very good side and Munno Para are a persistant side which makes for a great game because these are the games that usually go 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2 and end up being decided in the ast few minutes by a silly mistake. Having said that I'm thinking 4-2 to Beach due to their quality!

Mod Vista v Vikings - Hard to say anything but a win for Vista at the moment havent seen Vikings before but from what im told they are no pushovers! Vista would be anyones pick going off recent form alone however Im going with a close one. Vista 2-1

Grove v Sthn Knight - Grove pumping in the goals at will but as footy lad said leaking goals at the back Sthn Knights a very good team and should be able to do the Job against a Grove side to stop the flow!! 2-2

It's definately not love.... i just like being right and if you boys keep losing then i look stupid for my tips. Having said that we know what you guys are going through, we've been doing it last couple of years.... i'd be happy if you won every game bar 1  for the rest of the season

As Mr Football said, Us Vista boys know just what its like to be going through a bad patch. And we all know you guys are a better side than what your results have been showing. I keep expecting you guys to start picking up form thats why i keep tipping ya. Lets not get carried away with the 'L' word, that hurts to many people! :D

san marco v raptors- agood old relegation battle. both teams in terrible form but i think raptors may kick strat there season this week but i said this last week.
east v ttg- both teams needing 3 points here. should be a firey encouter. draw would be fair
beach v para- beach a class above para.
vista v vikings- vikings to bring vista back down to eath.
grove v knights- knights in an upset. 5-4 my predicted score as both teams have no idea how to defend.

san marco v raptors-draw- both teams seem to be struggling. raptors were peoples early pick for promotion and have come close two years in a row. have they lost players? whats the go?

easties v gully -draw- played both teams in pre season and both looked ok. one player coach vs another who should be player coach (still had a few years left in the legs LRO  ) both well organised, may cancel each other out.

beach v munno para- beach- good to see the para points getiing some points. hopefully they can do enough to stay up, but i think beach are hitting there straps and should be to good at home.

vista v vikings-vista- hard to pick against them on form.

grove v knights-grove- grove by far the better team, but if you get in a battle with the knights they can scrap a few goals and sneak a point or 3. the grove have plenty of experience against knights and should do the job.

Good to see some tipping against Vista. Was getting worried that they were getting popular!

San Marco v Raptors - Raptors win
Para East v TTG - Draw written all over this one
Beach v Munno Para - Beach the form team in the Div
Vista v Vikings - Vistory for Vista
Grove v Knights - Grove at home
