It was quite funny though coz the ref said whats the matter and I said I just needed to fire up my team and he said oh ok then!!! Great reffing in my book!!!

It was a quality way to start the 2nd half that's for sure. Set the scene for both teams I reckon. Was a great game.

On Saturday the linsemen in both the B's and the A's were given a clear instruction to raise the flag for any player who was in an offside position, with the refs then wanting to determine whether they are effecting the play or not. So basically, he flags regardless of whether the player with the ball is offside or not.

If that is the case the Referee is WRONG for issuing such an instruction because it is contrary to the Laws of the Game. It is not an offence for being in an offside position unless the player is either gaining an advantage, interfering with play or interfering with an opponent.

You may not have seen me in action so don't be too keen! I try to do my best and improve each game. It would also help if some people took a few minutes to freshen up on the Laws before making fools of themselves by either posting crap on this forum, or making misinformed comments on the field of play or elsewhere, e.g. Robbie Slater on Fox Sports is woeful!

Hows the stanbard looking between 2nd and 1st div's on saturday's this year?

Apart from a few trial games, I have not seen any competition game to date from either Division 1 or 2 so I can't really comment.
