No-one "took" over your league.

It was your choice to join them.

I am asking you as a player.

Do you think this decision was informed and made in the best interests of the players?

i know it was our decision - i thought it was a good decision and i went to some meetings on behalf of fulham and felt quite confident wendy and the sawsa board would make the correct decision.
long term - they have made the correct decision
short term - i think it still has to find its feet.

nothing in life finds its feet straight away - so yes we need to be patient but there are a few things i believe should be ironed out before the end of the season - ref's being one of them.

Being a bit naive with the womens comp. Are you struggling to get refs and who supplied the refs previously under SAWSA?

i know i keep rambling and rambling about the referee's but its annoying!!!
nearly every home game fulham have had we have had a mix up with the ref's

c'town - no1 rocked up
olympic - no linesman & the game kicked off late..
also there have been a few away games when the game has started late.

it gets annoying when it is consistant...

what i don't get is why all of a sudden are we having refs that aren't turning up on time or at all
we didn't have this problem last year did we?
we've always complained about some refs being a bit shitty, but i don't recall aving problems with them turning up before..

yeah thats my point - i dont care if they suck, i would just be happy for them to turn up lol...

obviously there have been occasions where ref's havent turned up in previous years but this is getting to be the norm!

I think there is a conspiricy from MC to bring down Football in SA from within.

First Cristiano gets a Red card in the Grand Final because of MC and now he is slowly depriving us of refs one game at a time.

Our club has 4 teams and I think almost every week, either home or away, one of the refs does not turn up.
How can there be sooo many no-shows?

Maybe because of the decision to seperate all things not affliated with FFSA it has meant the E&D registered refs that previously did womens games can longer do them. Know you have even less refs in the FFSA system.

Not to mention the fact that FFSA expanded its competition coverage to include the Collegiate league and a Over 35's amateur league, which i think may play on Sundays as well.... Less of the pie to go around.

Generally all Senior games are allocated referees but referees are people and people are disappointing at times.

How many people have gone out on a Saturday night and then not rocked up to work the next day?? This is sort of the same thing except there aren't a lot of other refs to cover for people at the drop of a hat if they call up sick etc.

I'm not makin excuses for them. If you committ to something you should be there on time ready to go.

You might but not everyone does, my daughters team nearly always has to play short for one reason or another.......all legit reasons but still disappointing.

if you know its legit reasons, wouldnt that imply that they do call?
or do you not find out the reasons til later?

Could also one of the answers be that now there is no reserves that refs are all over the aplce. Example.

Div 3 kick off at 10.30 / 11.00 am then maybe a Div one game straight after how is this ref going to get to a Prems game. I'm not sure about the prems / div two scheduling but this could be part of the problem, lack of numbersr and then these refs doing one maybe two earlier games. To me the draw should be like this in my opinion.

Prems / Div one at 3 (I know they think people will go from div 1 to prems and visa versa but it doesn't happen so lets just except this). Next if the prems and second team have a team from the same club, eg fulham and metro, then when prems are scheduled to play at home the div two or three team should play the same teams club. Currently in div 1 and 3 this could happen, Toros play The downs at home sunday and next week Div 3 Toros could play The Downs at home. Why couldn't these teams play each other same location same weekend? Would make sense!

Just some thoughts
