David Beckham's negotiations over a contract extension with Real Madrid will initially centre around the length of the deal, according to the Spanish club.
While Real look at the prospect of bringing in fresh blood after a long-term injury to right-back Cicinho, they are also in contract discussions over new deals for midfielders Beckham and Guti.
Beckham's current deal ends next summer and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic said on TVE television show El Rondo: 'The renewal of Beckham's contract is the decision of the club, he is very keen to stay here.
'The number of years for which his contract will be renewed is what we must first talk about with his representative.
'We are all delighted with Beckham and he wants to stay, those are the two fundamental things.
'With respect to Guti, he has two years left. He wants to stay and we value that possibility. All they have to have is a little patience.'
mayb its time for mr.30 something to show us how its done at man utd one last time

I would definately rather see Beckham on a right wing than Ronaldo... hell I would rather see Beckham than a Simao, Lennon or even a Pennant!! Sorry boys but Beckham is past it... my personal opinion, I think he is a great leader and probably the best right foot in the world but that doesn't make up for the fact he can't get past a player, no turn of speed and can't tackle for shyte (thus why he's not suited to the central of midfield)...diegom wrote:LFTWNG11 wrote:niether would I, would be great to see him on the right wing at United from my point of viewronaldo07 wrote:wouldnt complain if he's back to utd
Instead of RONALDO, ey lefty??????
Ronaldo07.... where would you put Giggs with Ronaldo on the left? I would thin Ronaldo on the right and Giggs on the left is more dynamic than Beckham on the right Ronaldo on the left...
