typo?
I wish it was a typo...... no they put on an awesome display today, and seeing that we have played them three times now, believe me it was awesome. I will say in our defence thou, and Im sure this applies to other sides as well at times, a few players were either sick and playing or not playing at all (including our keeper). This was the case for all our sides this week, but such is life.
But as I said before, Metro played very well and we were simply outclassed with a lot of experience in the oppositions squad.

Re: round 7 results
No worries- some of us are parents reading the forum and occasionally posting a ridiculous comment or two- makes interesting reading sometimes. I also like hearing what the senior divisions are up to, as I can't get around to a ton of games.
Re: round 7 results
Sturt 1-8 (Heard they missed a lot of players tho)
C'town 0-4
P.Hills 0-9
Looks like some clubs are loosing it. Para Hills and C'town now sit at the bottom and Fulham moves on, as it was expected.
Sturt came from a good period but got smashed today. They missed a lot of starters and as it is the case for Fulham, if you don't have your best players you are going to suffer.
Fulham, Cumberland and Sturt are the mid table teams, Metro, Olympic and City the top three ones and Para Hills and C'town the two bottom teams that will fight for relegation.
Things start to take shape.

Olympic team of the year! Great win over a good Cumby. Cumby will keep surprising many tho and so will Olympic! Next week Olympic-City!
City-Sturt 8-1
C'Town-Fulham 0-4 1st win for Fulham!
Metro just too strong. Dominating all over.

It isn't that we got our 'best players' - it is purely because Bianca and I went up and scored. Haha. All credit to c.town. But like i said to chi- when ur hot ur hot and It felt esp in the first half, everything we touched turned to gold. Well played, we coached and most of all well scored Haha

What's the next game for Fulham!? Are they gonna be hot then? Now that Fulham is back in business they need some consistency...shorty wrote:It isn't that we got our 'best players' - it is purely because Bianca and I went up and scored. Haha. Re: round 7 results
Red Panther- I believe that in the first three rounds in the A's, they were getting killed. Also, citing the last three weeks results in the B's:
Para HIlls East 3- Olympic 0
para HIlls Junior 2- Olympic 2
Port Adelaide 0- Olympic 0
It would seem that they are where they belong now.
There were no grading games in the junior divisions this year, and it was made known that if there were any glaring misplacements that they would be adjusted after a few rounds. There were also two teams in the A's that were clearly ready to move up (Jaguars and Adelaide Hills). So the switch was made- to everyone's benefit, I think.
Unfortunately, just because a club has a strong senior program, doesn't mean that they have a strong junior program.

Great win for Fulham yesterday. Switched on from the word go n never really looked like losing the game. Awesome to get that first win of the season and to play well was an added bonus. We have Metro at home this week so yeh a mighty mighty challenge but we're up for it!
p.s: hope bianca feels better soon. Met a front on header "challenge" and certainly looked worse for wear

Re: round 7 results
In response to your about the Toros V Gawler game in Div 1. It is alleged that the Gawler coach may not of filled in the paperwork properly and at half time the ref noticed the mistake. The ref then spoke to both camps and forfeited Gawler.
Gawler were wining and looking good so it maybe a costly error.
Seems like it was a bad day by a couple of teams as The Downs div three team did not show and their game against Toros Div 3 was called a forfeit too. Seems there maybe some question as to what was the correct time for the game?

Re: round 7 results
No offence intended , I'd admit we requested to be moved as did some other teams . I think you'd agree the Federation should have stuck with the grading games rather than doing a back flip 3 rounds in . Metro and Para Hills East are getting beat just as bad as Adel. Uni and Olympic were . Why weren't Sturt Marion moved up ? Or does SOMEBODY think it's better to be top of the B's rather than bottom of the A's . Who knowsgreavsie's_daughter wrote:Red Panther- I believe that in the first three rounds in the A's, they were getting killed. Also, citing the last three weeks results in the B's:

Re: round 7 results
No offense taken at all. There does seem to be some remaining inequity in the A's. But to be fair, Sturt Marion is on top of the B's, but not decisively- they aren't dominating the division the way the two teams who were moved up (and are more than holding their own, BTW) were. As for the grading games, I believe that there were complaints about that system as well- that the decisions made as a result of the grading games sometimes were not born out by the results. I regret to say that I don't think there is a perfect solution here.
