Reserve Cup
I see the Farmers beat Flinders to make the final. Good to see a Div2 side make it.
Could have let Vista win the last game to share the trophies around

Lets not get to carried away. Downs deserve to be favourites after not losing in Div 1. We have being playing well but did look flat against Flinders after quite a bit of celebrating over the last 2 weeks. We will be keen for the challenge and I can't wait. Hopefully will be a good match.
C'mon the Farm
C'mon the Farm
Well done to the Ingle Farm Reserves for doing the double, they deservingly beat the Downs 2-0 in the cup final.
After a slow start to the year, mainly due to injuries, they hit there straps winning 16 of there last 18 games.
Hats off to the Downs boys for a great year though, it seemed the Farm Reserves were their voodoo team this year, beating them in the there first trial game and the cup final.
I'm sure next year will be a different story, it should make for a good encounter.
Not sure about best on ground though, I didn't think number 11 from the Downs played that well. The Farm had some outstanding players. Goes to show how much of the game the Ref really see in the game.
The wind was a huge factor in both finals, with the team lucky enough to win the toss and play against it winning the game.
Well done the Vale for winning A's Cup final.

From what I saw the game was plyed in good spirits.
Wind was a huge factor i would imagine, you would think that the Amature leauge would think about their loctation and perhaps change the pitch from east/west to north/south. at least then the it would not be as big of an advantage.
I know both teams have to play in it, but I feel it takes away the potential for a final to be what it should be. A game of pace, skill, endurance etc. not a game for the team who can kick the most goals with the wind.
Well done Farmers though. Will make for a good battle next year.
And how was the presentation afterwards. Dont know about you guys, but he stuffed our team up really bad, that plus calling it a semi final.

Well done to our Ressies, losing both central midfielders before and during the game was a harsh blow, but the boys overcame adversity in magnificent fashion.
Game was won in the first half by keeping Downs goaless. Farms defense played particularily well.
Thought it was a bit rude by the referees awarding the best player to that no11. Almost comical.
The game was a high standard and entertaining to watch.
Bad luck to my old Modbury mate John Klein.. good to see you still involved in coaching.
Agree about the location of headquarters, next to the beach during winter is wrong wrong wrong. The direction of the pitch, well the ball would blow out that far touchline if it went the other way!!

C'mon you mighty Farmers. Did the Double in the Ressies.
I'm still pumped. Would have liked to have had more that the 90 seconds that I played but thats life. We still won the cup and I got my Medal.
GO THE FARM!!!!!!!!!!
The presentation was terrible. Dissappointing considering this is meant to be one of the show pieces of the year for the league.
I thought the Downs were unlucky not to score in the first half but so were we. Once that 1st goal went in though, I knew we had it won.
Well done to the Downs and great sportsmanship at the end too. Look forward to playing you next year.

As coach of Ingle Farm Reserves,I have to say, what a great season this has been for the lads.A successful season has to have input from all members of the squad,as well as the people who work behind the scenes.Any reserve team must also have the support of the 1st team coaches, as we have had this year, to be a success. In so many clubs, the teams other than the 1st team, are often forgoten. Most successful 1st teams are backed up by a strong reserve side.Commiserations to the Downs for the Cup Final,we look forward to playing you next season.Again to the lads, well done!!
