Why no E&D Zone teams above U15 ?

I am coaching a colts team and our club also has an U16/17 team, there are quite a few lads who have been zone players in the past and yet this year there are no rep teams above U15, were there no opponents to play ?

No just a lack of interest from the higher age groups.
Traditionally very difficult to get the older boys to come out.

I must say I have never had the luxury of coaching too many players who would get in but this year there was nothing to apply to , so I guess it is a reverse chicken and egg thing, if they don't ask then they are guaranteed to get no interest...

just a curiosity, but who are E&D zone teams playing?

I just didnt see them listed on the SAJSA Championships listing?

older boys now are playing federation because they want to get some where with there football and they want to learn and develop their skills more

Fair point apart from the fact that I have had 4 lads join my E&D team from Fed clubs this season, it works both ways, they are all top class players but they are just not that serious about it anymore after years in the system ... I also take umbrage at the fact that you think I am not in a position to teach them anything ...

E&D has two U17 divisions and an U18 comp this year so there are plenty of lads still playing.
