Barcodes Vs Boro
Cant believe one of their supporters haven't started a thread on this yet, it has to be the biggest game of the season. Who ever loses can almost kiss thier premierleague status goodbye.I have seen a bit of both teams lately and i think Boro will win, thier team looks younger and hungrier, where as Newcastle have just looked rubbish, thier only decent player has been Gutierez and Shearer doesn't have a clue.
Barcodes 1-2 Boro

I've got 99 problems but the Yids ain't one.
PS: Spurs remain a quality side, I don't care what you say. The Feyernoord Jubileum Tournament doesn't win itself, you know.

I for one want Newcastle to stay up, but i think they're finished this season. Might do them some good to relegated and rebuild...

they would be if hull didnt keep losing!Litmanen wrote:I for one want Newcastle to stay up, but i think they're finished this season. Might do them some good to relegated and rebuild...
cant believe they were in the top 3 earlier in the year
Re: Barcodes Vs Boro
hukk and sunderland should be safe if this is a draw as too much to do and no momentum, i would keep an eye on WBA gaining abit of form, great escape might be on...
i think boro might pinch it 1-0, going to be very scrappy and there will challenges flying in as PL status is on the line, either teans looses then see you later...
i think newcastle need to get relegated to sort their shit out, freddy shepperd said he will buy for a bargain price if they go down, lots of teams have done this and come back better sides, and seeing as most newcastle players don't have a relegation release clause, they will stay or the club will cash in...

Re: Barcodes Vs Boro
Newcastle are a team who just cant get it together, I think they need to stay up and keep Shearer at the helm. Get Ashley to sell the club to Freddy and have a good old fashion clear out. Get rid of Duff and Coloccini and the rest. Bring in a new keeper (Joe Hart?) and a new defensive unit (Dunne? Sol Campbell who will be free?) The midfield looks good, get rid of Barton because of his influence on the club and maybe Duff, bring in some fresh faces (Veloso? Brunt? etc.) Strikers, well Dukes is surely gone, hopefully Obefami stays and i think Owen will leave to go to Celtic, they have some good young strikers comming through but could use a big strong centre forward (Jason Scotland? Ched Evans?) And maybe even just bring a little flair into the club, someone like Elano (Surely leaving city), Quasmera (Sureeely leaving Inter) or Antonio Valencia...
Newcastle can still attract players, they have a bit of money, have a legend whom is the manager, have a nice stadium with adoring fans and have some good players on the books already. Just about time to get it together Newcastle.

so in's are...
evans
elano
dunne?
quaresma
valencia he will be pricy and a few clubs want him
scotland, he will prob go to fulham
brunt?
campbell
i like harper as a keeper not sure if thats the problem defence is letting him down and leaving him exposed
outs would be
coloccini
duff?
viduka
bassong
beye
barton
butt?
geremi?
owen basically already packed his bags...
maybe a couple more
they could build the forward line around andy carrol, big future for him...
still i think the clean out starts when they go down, can't see it happening it they stay up...

Clean outs happen when they need to happen, Butt and Geremi will both stay I'd say, have good experience, even if they only play a supporting role of the bench.DOC wrote:so in's are...

I think Harper would stay, Still would like to see Hart come in, harper is a great number 2.
price is not an issue, they have an abudance of money and will use it when they think its necessary, in which i hope they do for Valencia.
Brunt from West Brom would be a cheapie and he is a sensational player, He made the step up to the premier league better than anyone else in the West Brom team, Dunne I can see leaving Man City, especially when they buy 14 Central Defenders in the off season.
Building a forward line around Carroll now is probably to early, would need some experience to guide him so the purchase of Ched Evans would therefore be un-necessary. Harewood can play premier league but I can't see him being a good mentor and will probably stay at Wolverhampton anyway.

harewood and carrol would be a decent forward line through a rebuilding phase till they get up the table again, just don't see enough about them, no purpose, owen and a few others just going through the motions, knowing they will leave in the summer...Lilly Whites wrote:Clean outs happen when they need to happen, Butt and Geremi will both stay I'd say, have good experience, even if they only play a supporting role of the bench.DOC wrote:so in's are...

Re: Barcodes Vs Boro
As a sunderland supporter I wish both teams could receive no points and both go down but unfortunately I have to say that it will be Newcastle by a couple! they have the players, manager and supporters that understand what is involved in this game! funny enough the player who has played in the most North Eastern Derby matches from the two teams is Julio Arca for Boro and ex Sunderland Boy!
But it doesn't really matter as one of these two will go down!

Re: Barcodes Vs Boro
as i said earlier a 0-0 draw and both to go down would be nice, newcastle are in a shambles and boro couldn't score with a hooker....imanoutlaw wrote:As a sunderland supporter I wish both teams could receive no points and both go down but unfortunately I have to say that it will be Newcastle by a couple! they have the players, manager and supporters that understand what is involved in this game! funny enough the player who has played in the most North Eastern Derby matches from the two teams is Julio Arca for Boro and ex Sunderland Boy!

well i didn't say exactly that but said it will be a draw... hope both go down though.. both haven't played well enough to deserve staying up...

C'MON BORO
Newcastle have the better team on the list, but I can see Boro snatching the win

Amazing that Steve Mclaren had them fighting for Europe and developing players like Downing and Cattermole and now they are going down!! perhaps it could be the end of Southgate!Bomber wrote:Is this the end for Southgate??
Footy Lad just remind tyneside that there are still 6 points to play for, and does this mean Aras will be wearing his Newcastle beanie as he will be back on the Wagon?

Viduka was quality this morning..and that's something I never thought I'd hear myself say again
Martins with an instant impact..'Boro didn't deserve anything out of that game..Newcastle were the better team for majority of the game.
Perhaps they can avoid relegation..
