Re: SUNDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 03/05/09
two things are now sure, florina are wannabes and there no. 23 is the tool of the week. florina we be mid table at seasons end if not before and any player (no.23) who gets goated into making a tackle after losing the ball right infront of west crowd for her second yellow is clearly tool of the week.
In my time at Anfield we always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.

now thats funny bro...im not the one looking for love at the beginning of each season asking around for who needs a keeperBig G wrote:yeah ok, didn't realise you were so precious.
have fun
but seriously its not a problem if they had say the top three divisions on a weekly delete after the results are posted as it appears thats the majority of the posting and banter on here....but reading thru all divisions results n stuff is about as exiting as reading thru topics like ' alepou are you ok '....no offense alepou

Watched the West Beach Gully game today as had a family friend playing. Thought West Beach got outplayed to be honest. Bad mistake cost Gully in 1st half, second half was more lively and to be honest Gully seemed to have West Beach on toast for most of it - credit to beach took their handful of chances well, Gully didn't from what I saw. That's football I guess. Also I noticed that Gully seemed to have 3-4 starters out for whatever reason.
Re: SUNDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 03/05/09
fair call until florina have played all the good sides in the comp and we will see where there sitting. and as for playing up to the crowd and then getting sent off for it speaks for it self!getstuckin wrote:fook me what a fantastic post for only your second one,you my friend i think is the tool

hey nugget went and watched your team play the pontians and they were s h i t. With all the b u l l s h i t you write on here about the mighty parafield you should have lost 3 -0 if it was not for the post, crossbar and a good keeper. And that was from a side who you are tipping for relegation. So why dont you and Malaka A from florina wait to the end of the season to tell us how good you aren't.

Yes Billy we didn't play at our best yesterday sh*t happens but we got a valuable point,

Pontian picked up 3 new players last week & they recon 2 more thi$ week $o I don't think they'll get religated at all.

the only person who looks silly is you, and the 11 players on sunday. BTW they had 3 players out, so why dont you take your hand off it and stop making excuses for that pathetic team you call parafield.

Re: SUNDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 03/05/09
We were pretty happy with one point too in the end. Vista is, and will be always a tough game. Skill levels weren't at their best yesterday, but i think we are getting better and gelling with every game. We ended up with 3 out of the starting line up (not an excuse) and i think the guys that stepped in done very well. Our depth seems to get bigger every week, which in the long run will only be beneficial to the club.pc wrote:hmmmm......well both teams played on the same pitch so it is hard to say that it was the pitch that caused us to not play well, but to come away with 1 point, considering the other results, we'll be happy with, granted our 1st half wasn't good but our 2nd half was a lot better, a tough scrappy game in which a draw was the best result for both teams
Well done to vista, they fought hard all game and done what they set out for i think.
As for Monkey Boys comments, a bit too harsh i think. We aren't super league or EPL so we are going to have the scrappy games. I will be at your game next weekend and i will report on it as i see it. I hope your team play like barcelona......

In the reserves we were outplayed and the better team won - I believe Raptors are on par with Vikings very good all round side
In the First Team, was a good game despite both teams current positions - end to end stuff with Raptors on top early but Knights finished the stronger team - due in part to some Raptors injuries
I very much doubt Raptors will get relegated and would tip tem to win their next game

Great day out for the Downs yesterday.
A very impressive remodelled C team humbled Inter 5-1 on their own deck and the Ressies produced a commanding performance and never looked in doubt running out 2-0. A very professional whole team performance saw the First team come away with the choccies as well.
The Fossils had earlier contested a great game against a very impressive Vale outfit and despite initially going behind they regrouped and turned in an excellent second half performance to win 3-1 - thanks to the Vale boys for a good hard game.

USC Lion V Ingle Farm
A's 0-5
Good performance by our guys today in beautiful weather, very strange for Grange. We moved the ball around nicely, created lots of chances and took a few. Jonesy on fire again, Christo, Squiddy, Barry and Clarky look solid in defence. Mr X had a couple of shots on goal but none hit the shin so they didnt go in Lion battled but it just wasn't their day. Good win for us considering I dont remember our A's ever winning at Grange.
B's 2-5
Shaky start and were 2-1 down but fitness shone through and they started to take a few of the chances they were creating. The smaller pitch didnt help our play I think and when we missed some easy chances, we got a little more desperate. Once we drew level at 2-2, the game completely swung our way. Credit to Lion for not rolling over but didn't quite have it in them today.
C's 2-2
Their C's is actually a group of guys from Botswana and they are good. Long boot from defence to guys that can hold the ball up front and get around players. They have one guy who is honestly 200cm. He scored with a header from a corner and we gifted them a goal but we created lots of chances, hit the post three times and missed from inside the six yard box twice. The kids are getting better with every game as they get fitter and use to the stronger bodies of Amatuer's v's EDJSA and Junior Feds.
Dads Army 3-5
We lost, not sure how or why. Kingy hit the post, thats about all I know
Good day out for the club. Cheers to Redders. Just to anyone from Lion reading this, give the guy a hand. He refereed two games, set the nets up and played half a game in the A's. A few guys had a go at him cause something wasn't done. Why dont you do it yourself so you know its done rather than add an extra task to his day when he has 89 other jobs to do on the day. Cheers to the Lion guys though who are generally a good bunch of lads.

Too pijan* to do a write up.
Score for the salivating masses.
B.L are a hard bunch. Some solid tackles.
No. 8? Dont know if its the same guy that 6 Dinar Man was talking about.
This one was made of chocolate. And the sun was out. I dunno.
They ran the whole 90. We faded about 75 min.
They scored about 80th-85th? min.
Not a pretty goal.
Some crappy luck at the back, a shot in off the underside crossbar.
A penalty claim for us waved on. Later explained as "ball-into-hand".
