Croatia taking lead early on.
Missed 2 tap ins in the 6 yd box and a penalty over the bar.
Couldve gone in 4 goals up at half time.
Stalemate in the 2nd half.
Croatia kicking into a howling breeze.
Asteras equalise in the 88th.

B's
Asteras 1
Croatia 3
A's
In addition to this... the referee was rubbish! Croatia couldnt make a tackle in the 2nd half without the ref giving away a free kick, I think he thought he was a referee for a netball game. The pitch was a disgrace too, if I knew it was going to be like that I would have brought me bucket and spade. Croatia should have won the game easily, but thats football!

B's
Not a bad game, could have been more for Croatia. The ref had some issues... he showed us his referee photo before the game (really cute photo, thanks for that) and told us he didnt want any swearing and a fair game. But I think the pressure got to him referering a huge game like that .... and he decided to swear at players and didnt really have a hold on the game. At least he made up for it cooking the bbq.

Maybe we could have had a sandcastle competition instead of trying to play on that pitch, would have been alot safer.

re the Asteras V Croatia game

Not sure what game you were watching but Asteras was attacking all second half, should have had a lot more as Croatia should have in the first half, especially the penatly (which definately shouldn't have been) that almost hit the Qantas jet flying at 10,000 feet overhead. Croatia hardly had any chances in the second half. The wind had a lot to do with that. The game was played in good spirits

I was watching the game at the new beach ... at Flinders Park.
Astro girls yes they did have a few chances in the 2nd half, largely thanks to the ref giving them a free kick for every tackle Croatia made. Croatia scored a goal in 2nd half but the muppet ref gave a free kick to Astro girls...

p.s good spirits, you didnt sell any spirits only cheap dodge beer.

you croats are almost good enough to take val's job at the tiser!!

Tell us how the Asteras keeper touched the ball twice with his hands in the 2nd half (and once was a throw in he took!!).
Wasnt a free kick for disallowed goal, it was offside - and by a long way.

Anyway, whinge all you want.
re beer - U crunts better have some top class Belgian/Czech beer on tap up at Gepps X or expect to cop a hammering,

If coronas now have a label with Oettinger printed on it.. then yes, you did have coronas.

Kop, we guarantee you will have no less than 9 beers to choose from, and more than one kind of meat (not sausage) on the bbq.

^ i hope thats the case. i can see myself pulling a hammy on the morning of the return leg!!....

But look we understand, 1st league home game after 3-4 years being shafted (cant have own bar, cant have own bbq) at another venue. we're still finding the right mix of what works and whats not worth it.

Once the committee determines that Flinders PS is the place for us we can move forward doing bigger and better things.
Jackhammering the concrete cricket pitch and installing tap beer should be high high on our list!!.... :P

Do you think our strikers could get a root in a macdonalds?
We're going to take a leaf from Beograd's book and sign a foreigner to bolster our strike force.
Charles "Corky" Thatcher to the rescue.
Which foreigner plays for Beograd??

Blue Eagles good win away did not expect that saw them at pre season against Beograd and i thought they would struggle. Macos been struggling for a few years now but looks good with back to back wins. Not counting chickens take it game by game. Few good signings to come into our squad yet just have to wait and see how they gel. You might remember our tall bald striker when he joined round 5 and ended top scorer he put a few past you that season.

I dont think you can underestimate any of the teams in this division this year.... unlike the last few years with the chileans and el slvador who you knew were going to get slaughtered every week.....i think Athelstone will improve and take some points and payneham could be in trouble based on the first two results....other than that i think the table positions will change many times throughout the year and wont be much seperating top spot from 7th or 8th.

We scored early and the rest of the first half was fairly even with a couple of half chances either way. We played well in the second half, and had some good chances, but South Coast's keeper made some good saves. South Coast were strong and physical, and will be tough at their ground for other teams.

Kman, a bit early to be calling anyone for promotion, especially us! That said we are very happy with two wins from two, but next week against Beograd is a big game after they killed us in preseason. Also, is the big bald striker Jasmin? If so, very good player.

For starters Tuncay does not play for Bosna Adelaide he comes and watches the games he is not even a menber of the club. I'm not really sure of his identity?

You saw me run the line for the Maco v Bosna friendly. Strongest opposition hard to say have not played everyone in the comp. never played against Asteras last time in the division Brahma Lodge were good opposition looks like blue eagles have improved along with Macedonia, South Coast might be a tough game away never played Beograd time will tell. On their day any team could take the points.

So far it Macedonia, Bosna and Blue Eagles are of to a flying start. Dont rule out the croatians when they get momentum going they will be a hard side to beat.

Yep, that's South Coast.
Brahma Lodge aren't much different. The referee let two or three of their players get away with murder... almost.

i was starting to get sick at the start of the match from the shithole weather and it was my first start so i really didnt expect to open my account for the season. but in the second half i could have sworn it was a free kick not offside since the ball was placed where i allegedly pushed the defender over who was obstructing my run to the ball after about 10 yards. More finishing where the first goal came from, bring on Brahma Lodge this sunday!
