Reserves - Southern Knights ( 1 ) Munno Para ( 1 )
A fairly even game between these sides today, with both goals conceded by the respective sides whilst kicking into a fairly challenging breeze.
Southern Knights ( 3 ) Munno Para ( 5 )
A very entertaining game on what appeared to be an excellent playing surface at O’Sullivan Beach today, with all 8 goals coming in the first half mostly from well taken opportunities.
The second half could have produced many more goals but for some telling stops from both goalkeepers.
Munno Para, playing with more attacking options than the home side seemed to take advantage of the somewhat rearranged Knights defence.
A deserved win and reward for Dave Radford’s charges from north of Smith’s Creek ( my old back yard ! ).
Southern Knights will be a little shell-shocked by todays result but need to lift themselves for up an coming games.
Must also commend the referee who allowed the game to flow and his common sense approach to officiating.
Knights, immediately on the back foot.
Munno Para take the lead early 0-1.
Knights reply quickly with an excellent finish to level it at 1-1.
Munno Para find the back of the net again and celebrate regaining the lead at 1-2.
Southern Knights reply quickly to level the legder at 2-2.
Blink and you miss a goal, Munno Para celebrate their 3rd and regain the lead at 2-3.
Knights balance the books again at 3-3 despite the efforts of Munno Para's headless keeper !
Like deja vu Munno Para celebrate their reply to take the lead again at 3-4.
Munno Para's defence thwart Knights attempt to restore the balance to the scoreline.
Once again Knights are on the back foot as Munno Para press forward and stretch their lead to 3-5.
Knights coack Jeff Ellis and the bench ponder how to deal with the downpour of goals.
Knights just miss out on posting an early goal after the half time break.
Not to be outdone Munno Para threaten to increase their lead on several occasions.
Munno Para's keeper does well to deal with a Knights foray into attack.
Munno Para once again denied by Knights keeper.
Clear, decisive and sensible refereeing for today's game.... hands up those in agreement !
Evading the out-stretched legs Knights break through Munno Para's defence without success.
Munno Para run out deserved winners 3-5.

Great pics well done Swanny
Agreed Referee was good, pitch was in great condition, obviously wind was an issue, but for both sides
No excuses better team won!
Thought the old boys in the reserves did well second half pretty much defended for 40 minutes but for one mistake would have kept them out!

very interesting game to play in it must be said! two of knight's goals were crackers! their third was a top finish, hit me in the wall and charged the player down and he still wacked it into the top corner from about 30 yards! first time ive played in a game where 8 goals have been scored in one half...

Interesting result, Para have done well to get their first 3 points away to knights, always a tough ask to go there and pick up points.

Thats good Ash, at least someone in the midfield can make a yard As for the wall thing it must of been a low wall , just hacking with ya mate, great to see the mighty reds get off the mark and also great to see Jamie hasnt lost the hair do. It also looked like you were going in to give Boxall a big kiss in one of the pics though
