Westies v Peagles

5-0 first goal looked offside even from where we were down the other end but for Eric to go off like he did was embarrassing for a man I've known since i was 8 years old if that had been the only goal then maybe he would have a case to be aggrieved. did that influence the outcome? maybe (would have been 4 nil duh). but IMO the eagles are going to struggle to avoid relegation too many players just not really good enough for prem div. Well didn't show it today anyway

2 from the Downs. One with 10 mins to go for retaliation & the other last kick of the game for a bad tackle.

We had the best of the chances & Benny Aldridge showed why he is one of the best keepers in the league once again with some great saves. Always saves his best for Gardens  In saying that Peacy had a couple of saves early but didnt have much to do especially in the 2nd half IMO. Game finished 0-0

Credit to Downs put up a typical Gardens v Downs match & always a great to play in. They will be round the mark come September time.

Going by todays results looks like its going to be another tight league
That was a joke, a bad tackle fair enough, it was late, but didn't deserve a red card, as for the other, only himself to blame 2 cards in 10 seconds!!!
pretty sure it was a second yellow so it was deserved!

Never seen such a bigger bunch of losers as Pontians today. Coach was a discrace as were most of the team. It seemed a waste of time drafting in 3 toros players (from this year) at $150 a game, all did nothing (all ex pirates). Complete lack of disipline from the team, coach and supporters who hung around after looking for the ref. God sportsmanship by the players not to have a drink after.

0 goals from 3 games.. Striker problems down at the Vale?

Looks like a tough road for the Champions in whats looking like a very tight div 1!

it would be ok if those metal poles would stop getting in our way . twice against florina and again today with both keepers going 1 on 1 with brooksy with still no score . it will come head up lads ...

Im sure it will come. Only one team so far to be on 6 points in div 1. My tip is Pontian and Inter to go down. You guys will surely be up around the mark in a tight league!

Vale shaded the first half
Farm the second
not much in it either way with both teams clearly lacking a playmaker
the final ball to the strikers was very poor from both teams all day

Somewhat soft penalty for the Farm to go 1 nil up but on the other hand they had a clear penalty late in the game not given.
funny sight to see the Farm player flattened in the box and the free kick given to the Vale, i think even the Vale supporters were laughing, it was such an obvious error

Todays game I witnessed an absolutely terrible west beach side get an absolute drubbing by a very well drilled East side. East absolutley took the piss today and deserved to win by more. West beach are my new tip for relegation. They are nothing but a bunch of hacks and would struggle to beat a div 6 side. On todays performance east would have given any div1 side a run for their money. I could even go as far as to say they could have beat adelaide city. The beach made themselves look even more stupid by continually throwing out abuse to the east players and even the official. Some was funny, some plain stupid.

Anyways top effort by the east players today!

Best players: Neil Childs, Terry Smith, Adam Ratley, Steve Smallwood, Mick Krollig, young Craig Gibbo, steve skinner, swifty, eion o'neil, joel powell, dave whittaker, cozie, young adam, and of course the captain courageous, chris saggs.

Thats a huge call about Beach. Im sure they will get it sorted who should be playing where. Hopefully changes will be made and some of the B's players who are playing well get promoted and others from A's to B's. How were the Ressies players were they any better?

Yeah, it was a disappointment for the lads at Beach yesterday but it'll get sorted. A lot of new players and a new coach may need another week or two to get things going.

Appart from two quick early goals when we were still sleeping and a bit of indiscipline giving away a penalty there wasn't too much in it. The third for East though was a peach of a strike.

We definitely know we are better than this.

As for the ressies, c'mon lads. That was the best tackle I've seen in a long time; It was never a penalty although we were very flat as well.

Just have to make up for it in the return match

a for the vale getting better....watched against florina and there was a few times where brooksy was too busy yelling at his defense and didnt realise they had passed him the ball maybe he should just sit the games out...
as for money nugget66 i heard what you boys said when benny left gardens and then i heard from him what your club offered this year to return i think youll find that both contradict themselves i think that gardens will do well but the vale mid to bottom of the table dont have anything left in the tank unless ricki eric chad all come back to help

on another note what happened with mo i heard 5 to 6 weeks if this is the case thats crap should have been 5 to 6 years i heard something about anger management before he can come back

gotta give it up to the vista boys for their win yesterday.
they certainly were the better side and seemed to want the win more than us

game was played in the right spirits aswell with only a handful of fouls given for the match

It was a typical Gardens Downs game with lots of shouts at the ref for free kicks and a few good kicks thrown in as well. Benny A kept us in the game with at least 6 top class saves. The one in the first half diving to his left from where I was at the other end it was going in and then out of no where flys Yashim..The wind made the game a bit dodgy at times but you play with what you get. Downs one on one with matty p and we missed a sitter which did not help, I thought papa smurf the ref got it right with the sending offs but at the end of the day Parafield could not beat 9 men unlucky..What was with the $6 beers a bit rich so next time how about $4 you will still make near on 100 bucks a carton.. At least the burgers lived up to last years expectations..
Also what nugget said and some go and cry in your bung fritz sandwich Tonksy to someone who might actually give a flying f**k..waa waa waa, no goals no win.. 2 games no wins waa waa waa like we give a shit.
There is no I in team, but there is a u in suck...

good game between the gardens and downs, not much in it, gardens maybe slightly haveing the better chances but benny having a blinder in goals ( no surprise there). dont think there were too many ppl upset with 0-0 result as a goal in the end would of been too painful for either sets of supporters. i reckon both teams will be round the mark. couple of reds to the downs one in the last minute was too far away to comment on them.
good win to the ressies, been a long time since they have beaten the downs lads. gardens had a great first half but downs came home strong in the second but the lads held out.
