Even the Sturt-City results is a big upset IMO.
Who would have thought?
I wonder if Sturt is still missing key players 'cause the score is pretty big...
The league seems to be an exciting one!
sturt were good in at the back...especially in the first half...half time score was 1:0 after a brilliant header!...2 much later goal were probably conceeded due to restlessness and lost of concentration.
sturts problem was their lack of imagination up front. blacky was given no time on the ball and so no one was making any real attempts.
city's game was well throught through and their savvy got them over the line...perhaps 3-0 doesnt reflect the game, but city definitely deserved to win!
in newy we have a 6 team comp and all 6 teams play at the same ground. 1 after the other. tis fair decent as in u get to see all the other teams play. maybe this is somethin sawsa could look at doin. thoughts?

Interesting, and very practical idea. We have an under utilised Santos Stadium, SAWSA Park, etc. More games means a larger crowd and the football community get together for a common purpose.
And we would have referees (and 2 assistant referees) turn up!

Sadly, if this continues, the Metro players will not develop anywhere near as much if they were playing challenging opposition. And also, the inspiration of a good performance willbe lost on spectators who expect theteam to win easily every week. This is also a significant de-motivator.
I hope I'm wrong and the competition is much closer for all concerned.
