the u15s toros girls beat second side pink panthers 5-3 was a tense game from the start, toros were 4-1 up at half time and then panthers put the pressure on in the second half but the toros nreves settled and they scored another and panthers got 2 back well done to the girls , with one game to go they have only lost 2 games well done girls
Well done. Congratulations on finishing top.
Still got to play the team that has moved up into second place next Sunday though. - Toros vs Cumby should be a great game to finish the season!
good win for toros girls to finish season - congrats again...
Toros 5 Cumby 1
The scoreline doesnt really reflect the game as a whole though - was much like previous games between the teams (1 win each before today), where opportunities for both teams were fairly even, but today Toros made the most of their chances and Cumby didnt.
yea thats right..we played an awsum game!!..cumberland played a great game made us fight the whole game but could quite take the lead...we couldnt have won the championships without a great coach...and you know who you are coyote..i think..i have had great fun this year and cant wait for a challenge nxt year...bring on the U/17's...thanks angey..from the kiddies..and ME!!
scoreline would have been much different but my keeper had a blinder in goals, she certainly saved the team and was good watching two teams playing fast attacking soccer and end to end stuff
i must say was a pleasure coaching these girls , when you coach a team your main focus is to improve the players skills, fitness and attitude, i think that this group has improved in skills, fittnes and well attitude who am i kidding there girls...lol....and there desire to play higher than what there age is ,is a good sign to, im sure next year under a different coach with different ideas will improve even more
I have to say that the 3 games when cumby have played toros have been the 3 best U15 games to watch this year, simply from the fact that the style of soccer which both teams try to play is generally 'flowing' and attacking.
Much better than the win at all costs tactics that some teams seem to use at times. If either of these two teams had really wanted to try and win at all costs and at the expense of 'development' of the players and the team, then they could have just flooded the defence and defensive midfield, suffocated the game and waited for the odd counter attack/break. BUt they didn't, and credit to the girls on both teams for that.
There are a few girls in each of those 2 teams that have loads of potential.
E.g. Both teams have girls from both last years and this years U12 State teams.
The future is looking bright
