Although never in division one at the same time, Fc Adelaide and the African Allstars would be just as close.

No game just saying about how close they are situated - ie rivalry

Tough game on a very bumpy pitch. Good luck to Comets for the season. I expect to see you back in the 1st Div next season.
was a good game by both comets teams only losing to a div 1 team like bosa was a great result

BTW..............

Adelaide Budapest 2 Adelaide Cougars 1 (A)
Adelaide Budapest 2 Adelaide Cougars 2 (B)

We hit everything on our oppositions goal except for the back of the net in the first half. Keepers head, post, cross bar... one of those f**kn games. Conceded 2 soft goals from defensive errors. 2nd half pretty much the same... feel we were the better side... means bugger all though if you dont put the ball in the back of the net!

Bring on round 1 I say!!!!

I've often wondered why they call it the back of the net. Surely the back of the net is the bit behind the goals.

Okay let's be pedantic :D
I mean the bit on outside at the back.

The back of your house is not the wall on the inside is it?

No and yes, it's the room at the back of my house and the inside wall, the outside is the outside wall, out back !

Incidently, I felt a big twinge in my hamstring during the Southern Knights v Plympton game today.

Oh and add in

Adelaide uni 2 - 2 Navarino(B's)
Adelaide uni 2 - 0 Navarino(A's)
I heard the A's game was abandoned midway through the second half due to consistent rough play from Navarino?? Anyone see this?

You fishing for gossip??

You are right on the scores, and the game was called off. Both clubs can now concentrate on the league start next week.

Why is he fishing for gossip? its either true or its not, im guessing it is because you didn't refute it.
If you're having Spurs problems I feel bad for you son
I've got 99 problems but the Yids ain't one.

PS: Spurs remain a quality side, I don't care what you say. The Feyernoord Jubileum Tournament doesn't win itself, you know.

Not fishing for gossip mate.I have a couple of good mates at uni c's and they told me what they heard.I just wanted an objective view of what actually transpired. You have to admit that a game getting called off is certainly newsworthy.Anyway good luck for the start of the season.

Sorry mate, it was called off, but I don't want to go into it too much, or it will just become a sledging match, as so often happens on these forums.

The game just got a little out of hand, as some do and we figured with nothing running on the result, and in the interests of having everyone fit for next weekend (on both sides), it was not worth continuing. The game was starting to turn into tit-for-tat in late tackles, and neither team would have benefited. Apart from the last 10 mins or so, it was a good natured final run-out for both clubs. Thanks to Navarino for a good run.

A good natured game? Sounds like it was, why was it called off then?
