Charity Match 21/3/09 Modbury Jets vs Para Hills East

Post by King Of East »

Saturday 21/3/09 is a charity match for the Heart Foundation between Modbury Jets & Para Hills East with the +35's kicking it off & then the B's & finally the battle for the Rebecca Lawrence Cup.

Rebecca Lawrence was a very close friend to alot of people associated with both clubs who passed away suddenly last November from a heart attack. Both club's have been working together to organise this cup in Rebecca's memory & in association with the Heart Foundation & Rebecca's family.

We would love to see as many people make their way down to watch the games & make a donation. People didn't have to have known Rebecca to come & enjoy the day, i am sure alot of people have experienced a loss of some sort to a heart attack. So please if you would like to watch some great games of soccer on Saturday then the Cnr of Ladywood & Milne roads will be the place to be!!!!

Great Lady and a great cause.
Would be great to see a huge crowd out there to support the new annual cup.

Thanks to Jets for a great day out yesterday. Thought the game itself was ok, but neither team seemed to get out of second gear. Jets will be ok this year with a few key players to come back in. We are happy to get the result and take home the cup in its first year.
See number 7 it wasn't that bad for you yesterday hey! :P :P
Again, thanks to Jets and good luck for the season.
