Just as an further update from our games so far. The first game was against Eastern which had 6 international players. We were under the pump but held them out. They certainly had more shots then us but the girls did very well.
The second game, which we played pretty much straight after the first, agasinst Fencibles was a very good game. They scored two goals that by no means represents the game over all.
The game tonight against Three Kings ewhich you laugh at has 6 intrernationals three that have to be rested as per the national coach. The standard over here is much higher then what I have seen in the first two seasons as coach.
They play a very fast game style here.
Further reports to come

We have now played Three Kings Soccer Club.
The score line was 5-1 (1 goal was a penalty, 1 own goal)
This team hgad in it 4 international (1 of those is a world 11 player) and 1 under 17 national.
Thankfully the other 6 internationals were rested.
We put up a very good performance against a very polished side, which is New Zealands number 1 womens side.
Two more games to go.

Maybe everyone doesn't adore AUFC

Last time I checked it's not an AUFC supporters only forum

So no need to tell them to 'F OFF'

Sorry i havent posted the results etc...internet probs.

The 3rd game was against Claudeland Rovers. We lost 6-0. Really the girls were knacked by now, not only did they end up with 4 games in 6 days but also the touring side of things/injuries all add up.

Still we had one more game against Lynn Avon FC which was a strange game. Very windy (for them, the wind died for us, oh joy) Lost 7-0, and yes internationals were there again. This is NZ second highest team after 3 Kings. Just as a note 3 Kings have all the young NZ internationals and Lynn Avon have all the old ones.

All in all thou the girls learnt alot playing against sides that had internationals etc in them, the speed of the game over there was something to behold. The physical side of things was great. It must be said that NO team in our league matches their physical style.

The reffing was first rate. The refs actually took it all seriously, just like as if they were reffing mens. A very high standard.

All in all a great experience that was worth every cent (especially the luge!!)

We will be doing it all again.....................
