I try to keep abreast of all types of music....I'm not sure why but it reminds me of early Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark or China Crisis (slowed down a fair bit.)paul merson wrote:Annie Mac Radio 1
New Mylo track is the bomb, and Rusko's rinse of Day and Nite.
Anybody else getting into dubstep?
Also new Chase & Status album is class.
Dan Bern's Tiger Woods touches on this subject.Juventino wrote:AC/DC - Big Balls

Just been watching/listening to the riot in St. Louis 1991 at the Guns N' Roses concert. Good ol' Axl doesn't take cabernet from nobody
I think the majority was his fault.Juventino wrote:No doubting that. He had many problems, couldn't get on stage on time etc, but still the positives override the negatives.
Not that St. Louis was completely his fault.
The security refused to do anything because the blokes with the camera were some local biker gang with whom the security personnel were friends with. These guys were antagonising Axl throughout the show, constantly calling his name, trying to get his attention and annoy him. One of them handed Axl a card to which Axl replied "what am I supposed to do with this? And this was worth fucking stopping the show for". He'd had enough by that point, which was after the 4th or 5th song.crue head wrote:I think the majority was his fault.Juventino wrote:No doubting that. I heard that Axl had told security to grab the camera away from a fan. They failed to do so , Axl took it upon himself to jump into the crowd and get it. Axl then went up on the stage after hitting a fan. Rose grabbed the mike and said “Thanks to the lame ass security, I’m going home!” and then slammed the mike down.
It sounded like a gun shot and Slash had to tell the fans that it wasn’t a gun shot it was just the feedback of the mike.
Anyway Axl went to trial in 1992. Axl was blamed for the riot. Axl was forced to pay $50,000 US and 2 years probation .
Some of the blame lies with the security, but Axl acting like a little child didn't help the situation.
Axl was a big reason (eg, Montreal '92). But as far as St. Louis goes, it is a different story. Montreal was probably the only incident where it was totally his fault. Donnington '88 with the two dead fans was not his fault, same with some minor incidents around '86-'87.crue head wrote:Funny why all these incidents seem to have followed GNR like a bad smell.
GNR were a quality band, they believed in their minds that it was them against the world.
But, in my opinion, Axl was a real twat.
However, Slash was a genius, and a legend.
