Passenger - Do What You Like - Really cool new music from a new band. Strange sound, musically this particular song reminds me of Sigur Ros, but the lead singer sounds a bit like James Blunt - but in a less annoying way, if that's possible

Annie Mac Radio 1

New Mylo track is the bomb, and Rusko's rinse of Day and Nite.

Anybody else getting into dubstep?

Also new Chase & Status album is class.

I try to keep abreast of all types of music....I'm not sure why but it reminds me of early Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark or China Crisis (slowed down a fair bit.)

Speaking of Tea Party, their collaboration with Roy Harper (one of my favourite musicians) is quite good.

A lot of sound from one acoustic guitar.

Roy played a musician Mike Preston in a 70's movie "Made".

My old band the Rejects used to play that song.

Hate to break it to you but Axl Rose was a punk ass bitch.

Brilliant performer, but a tool who was all talk.

Axl & Vince Neil had a falling out years ago after Izzy Stradlin assulted Vince's missus at the time and Vince smashed Izzy backstage.

Axl being Axl threatened Vince and then spat loads of crap in the tabloids that he was going to kick Vinces ass etc even though Vince would give him a day and time to meet for a fight to settle it Axl never turned up.

No doubting that. He had many problems, couldn't get on stage on time etc, but still the positives override the negatives.

Not that St. Louis was completely his fault.

I think the majority was his fault.

I heard that Axl had told security to grab the camera away from a fan. They failed to do so , Axl took it upon himself to jump into the crowd and get it. Axl then went up on the stage after hitting a fan. Rose grabbed the mike and said “Thanks to the lame ass security, I’m going home!” and then slammed the mike down.

It sounded like a gun shot and Slash had to tell the fans that it wasn’t a gun shot it was just the feedback of the mike.
Anyway Axl went to trial in 1992. Axl was blamed for the riot. Axl was forced to pay $50,000 US and 2 years probation .

Some of the blame lies with the security, but Axl acting like a little child didn't help the situation.

The security refused to do anything because the blokes with the camera were some local biker gang with whom the security personnel were friends with. These guys were antagonising Axl throughout the show, constantly calling his name, trying to get his attention and annoy him. One of them handed Axl a card to which Axl replied "what am I supposed to do with this? And this was worth fucking stopping the show for". He'd had enough by that point, which was after the 4th or 5th song.

Other fans who commented in the media said these guys were at every concert and looked for trouble. The venue also sold alcohol which it was not supposed to do under the Guns tour arrangements with venues. And Axl walked offstage because he lost a contact lense - he went backstage to get one and was prepared to come back on, but was stopped by the cops. The real reason the rioting started was because they turned the house lights on and the crowd knew it was over. But Guns were ready to go back on! When they tried to it was then too dangerous and they were told they better leave St. Louis immediately, which they did.

Funny why all these incidents seem to have followed GNR like a bad smell.

GNR were a quality band, they believed in their minds that it was them against the world.

But, in my opinion, Axl was a real twat.

However, Slash was a genius, and a legend.

Axl was a big reason (eg, Montreal '92). But as far as St. Louis goes, it is a different story. Montreal was probably the only incident where it was totally his fault. Donnington '88 with the two dead fans was not his fault, same with some minor incidents around '86-'87.
