has mark scalzi headed out to villa has he. he is a very handy pick up. A very difficult player to stop when on top of his game.

Heard Saints might need to look for a new defensive midfielder. Apparently monkey boy has evolved into a wombat over the off season and if played will spend his whole time digging burrows in the pitch.

Well said. The amount of teams that carry on about fed players this and fed players that.....if they are as good as made out Villa would have been undefeated last season breezed div 2 and done well in the cup. They are a decent team but didn't light div 2 on fire in my opinion the older players will be found out in div 1, they will finish 3-6.
If you're having Spurs problems I feel bad for you son
I've got 99 problems but the Yids ain't one.

PS: Spurs remain a quality side, I don't care what you say. The Feyernoord Jubileum Tournament doesn't win itself, you know.

Villa have an ageing squad and imo will get found out by some of the younger div 1 sides. I remember playing against cove last year and they were a lot better and fitter than villa.

Uni had a strong reserves team last year, may translate into a good first team this year.

Villa... strong tip is that Dom Musci won't play against the Wanderers.

imo - Uni have always been the dark horse of Sat Div 1.

The club attracts a lot of international students and backpackers, and some years you get some very good players, other years the quality is not so good.

As long as the club can get hold of a good striker or two they will do well. If not they may struggle.

this will sound like a strange comment to make about a team that beat us twice last year and won the league BUT I didn't think uni were that strong. We beat wanderers twice, but they were a lot stronger in the games against us than uni were. I know that sounds odd, but I thought wanderers were the strongest reserve team in the league.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

I'm glad you've finally realised that Tossavic (opps, did I spell it wrong) is over rated Roo. Not quite as good as he thinks he is?

Villa will do just fine, with DT returning and Marco Scalzi headin out there, i think you will find it will be alot of the younger less experienced kids from other squads who will be getting "found out". They will be formiddable. Dont worry about div 2 last year. They did just enough for promotion. Rick will have the boys just ripe for this year.

Totally agree.Last year Uni had a woeful scoring record, they scored the least goals of all the teams in the division(tied with Navarino, who were relegated).Word from the grapevine is that they have addressed the issue.

Sure you could argue that Wanderers were the stronger team, but Uni (reserves) were more consistent and I think that is why they won the league.

Poor second half in the first head to head, Wanderers vs. Uni, cost Wanderers reserves the league in the end... not to mention the capitulation of Iggies on the last day of the season. We got there late, so Hawksey had already been paid off by Uni with a Wolf Burger and 6 Stellas.

Yeah he's rubbish.. Only a Joe Rossi and Ian Gossland medallist.. Championship winning captain and hardest player in the league by a mile.. Rubbish..

Villa and Wanderers are favourites.

Sturt Marion, St Peters and Modbury to be around the mark.

Billy Karapetis to win the Best and Fairest in a canter.

My Picks:

Saints
Wanderers
Sturt Marion
<air>
Stirling
Uni
Modbury
Villa
BOSA
Gleeson
<air>
Allstars

Any one of the middle bunch could get relegated, along with Allstars. It's gonna be a tight season, gamefans.
