If you're having Spurs problems I feel bad for you son
I've got 99 problems but the Yids ain't one.
PS: Spurs remain a quality side, I don't care what you say. The Feyernoord Jubileum Tournament doesn't win itself, you know.

Zola or Hiddink to take over.
There was a dude at the game on the weekend with a Zola/Di Matteo banner, maybe he knows something.
Poyet also has to be a chance for the assistants role.

Re: Chelsea fire Scolari
As a Chelsea club member & life long supporter I am absolutely apalled at the decisions this club has been making over the last 18 months. I feel for Scolari, he inherited an ageing squad & was given no money to shape his own side. Why sack him now with important games coming up in the next 14 days, stupid! At least he would have got a nice payout, I would love to know how much we have paid out in compensation for managers since Abramovich bought us!
As for a new manager, I have no idea, I would love to see Zola get it but it aint going to happen so i suspect it would be Hiddink but then again who would really want to take the job unless you were desperate for some quick cash!!!!
We are going backwards not forwards at the moment!

Re: Chelsea fire Scolari
i think at the moment it's hard to decide who to laugh at most chelski or the scousers. i have to admit i thought scolari was a bad appointment to begin with but at least give him a go if he has got the job. I seriously don't understand why any chelsea fan would want zola as manager just yet, yes there is the draw to him of being a great player for chelsea and a fan favourite but if i were a chelski fan i would want someone with more of a proven track record to take over and get the club back on track and pursue zola further down the track once he has proven himself as a quality manager.strappineastie wrote:As a Chelsea club member & life long supporter I am absolutely apalled at the decisions this club has been making over the last 18 months. I think a Zola type of manager is what we need instead of a big high profile manager. We need someone young & enthusiastic & give him a long term plan.

well as a none chelsea fan i hope you do get zola as i believe it would be a bad appointment at this time in his managerial career, he hasn't got the experience needed to manage a club with the expectations chelsea have.strappineastie wrote:I think a Zola type of manager is what we need instead of a big high profile manager. True to a point but I just cant see anyone out there that could do any better & more so who would want to take the job over!!tickets4cheese wrote:well as a none chelsea fan i hope you do get zola as i believe it would be a bad appointment at this time in his managerial career, he hasn't got the experience needed to manage a club with the expectations chelsea have.strappineastie wrote:I think a Zola type of manager is what we need instead of a big high profile manager. Re: Chelsea fire Scolari
if chelsea still have big money to draw a manager then i could think of a couple straight off the top of my head who could do a better job than zola, martin o'neil, david moyes, guus hiddink, martin jol & maybe gordan strachan. however you are correct in saying why would they want to take the job other than if they want the cash offered.strappineastie wrote:True to a point but I just cant see anyone out there that could do any better & more so who would want to take the job over!!tickets4cheese wrote:well as a none chelsea fan i hope you do get zola as i believe it would be a bad appointment at this time in his managerial career, he hasn't got the experience needed to manage a club with the expectations chelsea have.strappineastie wrote:I think a Zola type of manager is what we need instead of a big high profile manager. Martin wouldnt leave Villa with the way they are going & I rate O'neil highly! I reckon it will be Hiddink which I wont be dissapointed in really.

i agree that o'neil wouldn't be likely to leave villa nor would david moyes probably leave everton but it doesn't mean chelski shouldn't be knocking on the door to check, you never know if u don't ask. i agree and think it will be hiddink, would be a smart choice and he has a proven club record in europe.

i do wonder whether scolaris fate would have been different had essien not been injured all season, in my opinion he's your best player.strappineastie wrote:Yeah I agree mate, I'm just going to sit back & watch the show!!!!

Oh mate have we missed Essien. Having Lampard & Essien together in the midfield would be so much better. You may be right but it is one of those things we will never know!

Re: Chelsea fire Scolari
According to Big Phil, it came down to not having Robinho, that is what cost him his job. Maybe he should apply for Hughes' job over at City, then he can have his Robinho dose.
Guus H has said he is not interested, which probably means he is ...
Zola would love the job but he is short on experience, in fact he is also short ...
Professor O'Neill would like the job but after all his hard work to get Villa up the ladder it would be a sin to leave now...
Moyes feels the same way about Everton ...
Maybe they could go for Little Phil from Hull ...
Or Becks could become the 1st top flight Player/Manager since possibly Alan Ball...
Who knows ... but the one sure thing is whoever takes over will not be there for very long.

Re: Chelsea fire Scolari
Failure to get Robinho was his demise
too many injuries this season
essien especially
But Zola as manager ? no
he is our favourite chelsea player but i wouldnt want him as chelsea manager, he may end up like Kevin Keegan , once revered at newcastle ,now, he polarizes opinion with newcastle faithfull. Why do you think Shearer wont take the job ? because he doesnt want to leave his image as a folk hero to the toon in tatters
Hiddink, he knows how to bring out 100% of any squad he has managed
We have to first qualify for Champs league
then a cleanout
ballack , kalou first names to go
Drogba, *( if he keeps moaning)
