Colo Colo pick 14-year-old - Reuters

Nicolas Millan has become the youngest player to play in the Chilean championship after making his professional debut for Colo Colo at the age of 14.

Millan came on as a substitute in the 79th minute of the match at Santiago Wanderers when he replaced Felipe Mella.

Shortly afterwards, Millan had a chance to score but fired his shot over the crossbar after being left unmarked in the penalty area.

Santiago Wanderers won 1-0.

i can remember when paul agostino debut for Salisbury when he was 14yrs.8mths. approx.

Good luck to lad but I hope he doesn't burn out under the pressure like so many young players do.

Anyone heard anything lately about the USA kid who was talked about a lot before the World Cup?

Fred Goldstone I think you are talking about Freddy Adu.

I guess this kid could only be compared to Adu, who debuted for his MLS club at about 14 aswell. Not that I've seen all that much off him but he is reputed to be quite a talent.

yea Freddy Adu, my age though now. playing regularly for DC united at age 16 and scoring some wicked goals. Bit of a dirty player from what ive seen though. pretty solidly built but overall decent player
