Sunday Div 1 Player of the Year
So who will win this this year, any standout players, who had a good consistent year? Will the winner come from the Top 4 clubs in the league or do players steal votes of each other?
Chris Nicholls - The Vale
Ross Taylor, Burt Fuda - The Downs
Any others?

Might be in contention but went to the World Cup and then did a bit of europe travel so missed a few games.Redders wrote:Dont think so mate... Eggers from PHW wouldnt be far off though..Mr X wrote:Redders from Lion must be in the mix.

Dude comments like those show ur lack intelligence and football knowledge being in the same side as him and watching himcare facta wrote:Chris Nichols pft.....what the hel r u thinkin
hesd bout two years overdue for retirement i think.....evn tho he scored few good goals on da wek end gainst dwns....hes dun jak all year
fuda or reeves no doubt
week in week out he's a consistant contributor
oh and talking of goals which club scored the most this year. Saying that if there was an assist award he'd take that out too!
I must admit though seeing him play twice this year Id say the big Reevesy's in with a chance but who knows this is an award by the referees init?

Hasnt Nichols played in the same team as most soccer players in the state? He has been through quite a few clubs as far as im aware.
But i would agree with you, Reevesy should be up there, he has been very consistant, and I would think a deserved winner.
Chris is a friggin living legend and if he was to win it, it would be well deserved. He is an amazing player and he will always be a Vale boy at heart.Rexie wrote:chemical brother wrote:Dude comments like those show ur lack intelligence and football knowledge being in the same side as him and watching himcare facta wrote:Chris Nichols pft.....what the hel r u thinkin

Agree with you about T Scalzi and D Tassone, both have had fantastic years. Although T Scalzi may struggle this year, missed a few games during world cup and may not be able to reproduce the same votes as many teams used their best taggers on him all year.

It is possible that many Downs players in Reeves, Taylor, Fuda, Blackwood & Kelly would take votes away from each other Mohamed from gardens was a stand out for them, Chris, and Daniel Nicholls and Phil Orange from Vale, I think are the best candidates from the top 3 sides. Wouldnt suprise me if the keeper from Royal park polled a decent amount of votes or Scalzi from NAB.
