Liverpool v Chelsea
No team has lost more often at Anfield in the Premier League era than Chelsea (10 defeats).
Chelsea have failed to score in three of the last four league meetings with Liverpool – their only goal came from a contentious penalty awarded by Rob Styles.
Liverpool have drawn four of their last five league games at Anfield.
After a run of 11 away wins in a row, Chelsea’s last three league games on the road have seen two draws and a defeat.
Chelsea have taken one point from four games against the other “big four” clubs in their head to head clashes this season – Liverpool have picked up seven points from three matches.
Chelsea and Liverpool have played each other five times in each of the last four seasons, since Rafa Benitez arrived on Merseyside.
Liverpool have taken the most points (8) from the meetings between the top five teams this season, while Chelsea have earned the fewest (4).
Liverpool have drawn seven of their last 10 league matches.
The Reds have recouped 14 points from losing positions this season – more than any other club.
60% of the goals Liverpool have conceded have come in the first half – the highest percentage in the top flight.

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea
They said it was seven from their last ten games in all during the Match Of the Day highlights and my thought at the time was just that... an awful stat.
Anything but a win will suffice, or they can almost give up on the league title.

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea
with the way rafa is at the moment, i wouldn't be surprised if he started n'gog and plessis for torres and gerrard however it will be a 4-5-1
---------------reina---------------
arbeloa---caragher--skrtel---aurelio
kuyt---alonso---mascherano--riera-
-----------gerrard-----------------
----------------torres-------------
imo yossi deserves a start over kuyt for the way he played vs wigan but he won't get it.

Team I would select:
---------------Reina--------------
-Arbeloa-Carra-Agger-Aurelio-
-Benayoun-Masch-Alonso-Riera-
-----------Gerrard---------------
-----------------Torres-----------
Team that will be selected:
---------------Reina---------------
-Arbeloa-Carra-Skrtel-Aurelio-
--Kuyt--Masch--Alonso--Riera--
----------------Gerrard----------
---------Torres-------------------
Honestly I can see us tying this game.

I reckon 1-0 to Liverpool, but hoping for a draw.chelsea91 wrote:One of these teams will win 1-0..
Re: Liverpool v Chelsea
Can see a draw in this one. 1-1, teams are pretty even. If either side can win, they would be the choice to potentially challenge Man U for the title.

Personally I would go with this line up
------------Reina-------------
Arbeloa-Skrtel-Carragher-Agger
Kuyt---Alonso-Gerrard----Riera
---------Keane-Torres--------
but we will more then likely go with
------------reina-------------
arbeloa-skrtel-carragher-aurelio
kuyt---alonso--masch----riera

2-0 Liverpool, I think they will do the double over Chelsea this season.

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea
Which ever manager is released from the looney bin first will win the game.
I think the Fat Spanish Waiter is 'crazy', therefore they will retain him longer. Big Phil is getting more and more paranoid by the minute but will be released from his straight jacket in time to see Chelski get the points.
Love to see and hear the pre match and post match press confrences, could be a barrell of fun, crazy fun.
